The beach deserves 5+ stars - it is absolutely gorgeous. And people will keep going just for that. Staff is friendly and helpful.
But the facilities, food, and service do not even vaguely match the level of quality the location (and price) deserve. The facilities were all quite dated and basic, which would be fine if at least some minor things were upgraded. A little attention to detail would go a long way to make this place heaven on earth! Rooms were basic but okay, with the main problem the front door that had a large gap underneath that animals could easily enter (full of mosquitoes). By the way, bring an adaptor or they’ll sell it to you for 5 times the price you’d pay on the mainland. 19 umbrellas and sets of beach chairs are not enough for a resort of over 100 rooms and nothing else to do but enjoy the sea; by 9 am there was none left (rude selfish people put their towels down at 9am to keep the chairs and came back mid-afternoon - they should not ve allowed and should be ashamed!). And by 11am not even beach towels were left! Garbage bags were left outside rooms overnight so animals stormed around digging in. Food was just not edible, despite the long menu. People migrated daily to resorts nearby for meals.
That said, if you don’t mind overpaying for the lack of service, and still prioritize the quality of the beach, this resort remains a good option. Food aside, I doubt they’re much more refined in service elsewhere on the island.
