I am not sure how this property is rated so high, let me start with what we liked , the beach ! Although there was seaweed it was still enjoyable . Did not like all the boats lined up off the beach The common areas of the hotel are nice , but there is hardly to no AC so it hard to sit and enjoy a drink at the bar especially if your dressed for dinner . Gym, Irish pub and coffee bar are nice Best food and service was Inari Japanese 3.5 star Italian restaurant 0 food was terrible Asador steak house wasn’t the worst steak I had 3 star French restaurant 2 star Pool buffet was not bad Pool and room towels are old a cruddy they look stained and dirty, the room was big but the furniture was cheap looking had AC set to 64 F it felt like 78 The people overall are nice and helpful I was overall disappointed I will not be visiting another Lopesan property again . The big travel websites need to do a better job vetting properties and reviews one had said the property had 40k reviews and rated 4.8 not even close this is generous 3.5 at best

The check-in experience was not nice at all, the lines took foreverrrrr and I needed water and to go to the bathroom but nobody was there to help with that as we didn’t know where anything was. One guy at the reception was very rude to us because we couldn’t hear what he said and when he spoke to us he had such attitude and then didn’t even help us he sent us to another long line to wait more. Between checking in and getting our room# we waited around an hour. I would suggest just coming after 3 to avoid all that. While we waited for our room to be ready we went to Yolo fast food place which was terrible service and food and it’s the farthest restaurant so don’t even bother going over there. It didn’t start nice but after the first day it was amazing. The dinner restaurants had amazing food and much better service. The pools and property and beach were absolutely beautiful. We loved all the options there were of fun stuff to do like the boulevard and ping pong and bowling. It is a lot of walking but it’s so beautiful here that it’s worth it.

For a 5 star resort, the a/c was not working in the restaurant and in the rooms. This is a reason of why I will not go back to this resort. The resort need a more powerful a/C

Lopesan Costa Bávaro is a true gem in Punta Cana. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning architecture and lush tropical surroundings. The rooms were spacious, modern, and offered breathtaking views of the ocean. The staff were incredibly attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The variety of dining options was impressive, with each restaurant offering delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The resort's pools were pristine, and the beach was absolutely perfect for relaxing or taking a leisurely stroll. Lopesan Costa Bávaro exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable vacation.

Lopesan property is beautiful but our experience from the moment we checked in was horrible. I paid for a room with some roses for my wife’s birthday and the display was amazing. The room however smelled like mold and the floors and bed were wet. It took us 3 hours to get another room that was overlooking a field of trash and maintence trucks. Car alarms were going off all night and it made our stay that night unpleasant. The following day we finally got checked into a room and it was what we expected. Some things like dirty couch and stained lamps were minor but the overall room experience was better. The staff was amazing Claribel and Julio at the adult pool and Guerrero at the front desk were a great help. The food was an issue I had went to the French restaurant and got food poisoning from the chicken I was vomiting all night and had diarrhea for the entire trip. My wife had similar problems but the last night we were there we had food at the Italian restaurant Gondola and she fell ill to the point that she was hospitalized for the stomach flu. All the food we consumed was on the hotel property and that was something that was truly a let down for this trip. I’m sorry to say but between that and our experience of being scammed at the meeting point for an excursion that was way over played and under delivered; I’d have to give Lopesan my lowest review. My wife has never cried and since we got there she was in tears the first day and the last. This trip has ruined DR for me.
