Only thing that was disappointing was Destination Services transport to/from the resort. We were given instructions with incorrect information about where to find the representative - and when we finally found him in the theatre of all places, he then confirmed our return transportation. But when we were leaving and waiting for our scheduled transportation they never showed up. Customer service claimed we never confirmed our transportation but eventually got us a driver but we nearly missed our return flight. I don't know where the mistake was made but unfortunately I won't be booking through Travelocity again because this situation could have easily left us stranded at the resort.

Beautiful resort, walkable. As far as improvements some better communication-as to what it has to offer. You're pretty much on your own and finding things. We would find something new as we walked days later. Have a map available in the room because the app one isnt user friendly. Buffet food was cold often.

The staff at Bahia Ambar was very accommodating and friendly. The dining was good however the restaurants and making accommodations through the app was not up to par and we had to go to the front desk to book any specialty dining. Outside of that it was very relaxing and good. 7 day stay

Some of the staff were less than friendly. The fridge in our room did not work and when we inquired 10 minutes after check in, the response was that the fridge is just there to store things and we could ask for ice. After asking a few other guests, we were told that their fridges worked. It was very disappointing not to have cold drinks in our room as that is what you would expect when a mini bar is promoted.

All-inclusive adults-only. Entertainment crew was the best! Morning to night activities kept us engaged. Quality has dropped at the property. Alcohol is low quality and bartenders at pool bar were impatient and rude if you don’t order fast enough. Area around pool was strewn with empty drink cups because only 1 server served and cleaned after everyone. When we arrived from the airport, the shuttle/train to our VIP resort took over 20-min to arrive. We were hot and sweaty. We had to ask for water. In the past 10yrs, they served us a welcome drink upon arrival. The bed was the worst experience. It felt like sleeping on wood. A huge downgrade! The boxspring is thick but there’s no separate mattress unit on top. Just a thin layer built-in right on top of the box spring. Gym: excellent! Lobby: too hot from morning to night. It appears they no longer run the AC Lobby restrooms: urinal has very low pressure to wash away. Also too hot. No AC Specialty restaurants: excellent! Good quality. However, too hot! No AC running. Coffee shop: very good on some days. Other days, staff spend more time serving other employees coffee and pastries than serving paying guests. Also AC was turned off. It was too hot!

Food was spectacular and the entertainment was great. The beach was the best part. Very clean, water turquoise blue, no matter how deep you went you can see your feet.

I loved the hotel, the food was excellent, the beach was amazing. The staff was incredible starting with Bielka at the beach bar, Juan Eduardo made our dinner time the best. I was truly amazed by the staff, Moises and Rosa from the sport bar, Aracelis and Leonardo from Las Brisas, Ñoño and Sterling from the buffet and the entertainment staff, Ninja, Mata e Coco and Chocolate were awesome. Overall it was great, l had one of the best birthdays vacays. The only thing was the air conditioner at the room was not keeping up with the heat from outside. But overall it was an amazing time. Again, special thanks to Bielka and Juan Eduardo.
