Beautiful 1910 cottage built in to a hill. Overlooking the Mississippi River and less than a mile to historic downtown LeClaire IA. (Home of the American Pickers).

Nightly rate includes 2 guests. Additional guests are $25 up to 5 guests max.

Pets are very welcome at the cottage. Please let me know at the time of your booking you'll be bringing a pet. I leave toys, dog beds and goodies for them.
Pets are not aloud upstairs.
There is a one time Cleaning fee of $65 each additional dog is $25. 3 dogs max. extra large breeds will be $100 per pet Max 2. ( over 65 lbs.)

We do allow small gatherings max of 15 Guests.

The cottage 🏡

lovingly renovated 1910 cottage with all the modern necessities but keeping the historical charm. 3 Decks, including a new tiki bar deck, propane firepot, charcoal grill and a large yard with fire-pit rock garden.

Amazing river views from every window. Screened sun-porch with bar top, Edison bulbs, yard games and rocking chairs. Have your favorite beverage while overlooking the river for beautiful sunsets or sun rises. 2 bedrooms with full private baths. Spare bedroom ensuite has a Jacuzzi tub/shower, The master bath has a large slate walk in shower with jets.

The gas fireplace is perfect for cozy evenings in the living room. You'll also find a entire wall of french doors with views of the river. Watch barges and boats sail by. Bring your own vinal or use our assortment, on a unique upright record player, or watch a movie on the new large screen TV. The cottage provides high speed internet.

A whimsical iron spiral staircase takes you to the den with large screen TV, and a futon couch. Both bedrooms are located upstairs.

Directly behind the property is a park with children's play equipment and a gazebo.

The fully equipped eat in kitchen has everything you need! we offer a Keurig coffee maker and also a coffee pot. The coffee and filters are complementary.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Everything was pretty much as shown in the photos online. The river views were great. There was a lot of train traffic along the river but it was really not an issue for us. There were several nice decks and outdoor seating options, however, the decks and patio furniture had not been cleaned in quite awhile. We did enjoy sitting in the little screened porch on the second floor and that was very clean. Overall, a nice stay.

Adorable cottage!
The cottage was the perfect place for me to get away from distractions and get some writing done! From the variety of outdoor seating to the cozy indoor space, it was a great setup. And the river view was so pretty! I even got to see a beautiful rainbow over the Mississippi after a storm. The only improvement that could be made is the master bedroom bed. It was only a full size which was very tight for the night my husband was able to be there. Granted, we are used to a king, but a full was a whole lot smaller than we like. We would not have been able to do another night in that bed. By myself it was just fine. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay! I loved it!

My 19 year old daughter and I were coming to the area for a Blake Shelton concert and wanted to stay in LeClaire. The house was perfect, super relaxing and exactly what was needed. The area was great and locals extremely friendly. We quickly fell in love with LeClaire, can’t wait to come back & would love to again stay here. 10/10 recommend.

Great Place in a cozy the cozy town of LeClaire
Absolutely loved the place. The pictures are spot on. It's super cozy and charming yet much bigger than you would think. All the rooms are decent sized and well decorated. Also, a great location only a short walk from all the restaurants and shopping. We will definitely add to our list of must go again.

Amazing Best Friends Getaway
This was the cutest, coziest cottage! It was perfect for the 4 of us. We used the grill and deck one night and the firepit another night. Very relaxing and convenient walking distance to all the cool places on Cody Road. We would definitely stay there again.

Quaint, cute and very clean and well appointed. Excellent view of the Mississippi River from various vantage points both inside and outside. Two en-suite bath rooms and a powder room. One glitch was that the entrance code that was provided was not accurate so we needed to contact the VRBO help line to obtain the correct entrance code. I do not know if that was an owner or VRBO issue, but hopefully that can be remedied in the future.

Birthday getaway
We always try to get away for a day or two around our birthdays. This was an absolutely adorable home with a great view. Although being on the river I think next time we will do it for my birthday so weather is warmer. The house is exactly as listed. Easy check in, fabulous spiral staircase, jetted tub comfy bed. The local restaurants are great, unfortunately the local grocery store is not. This place was really great we hope to come back soon.

Very cozy in a quiet neighborhood
The house was very cute and the family room was very cozy. Nice and clean and was very welcoming to our two small dogs with toys that they played with and a couple of beds they slept on. If you're up for hiking up a 45 degree incline there's a nice open park across the street to walk dogs or let your 9 year old run around. The only thing worth mentioning about the property is to access any of the sleeping areas you have to use the fairly narrow spiral staircase. It's super cool but my wife had a foot boot on due to an injury and it was a bit treacherous going up and down. Not a fault of the property though and it was clearly shown in the pics. Overall a great stay that we would do again. Thanks!

Nice place for family stay
Very cute place. Great views of river and lush green garden setting. Close to town and easy access to freeways. Train is close by but not too much of a bother. Screened in porch room was a great bonus space. Home was just as advertised.
