This dome offers a view of the mountainous forest and is located by the Jacques-Cartier River. With a capacity for 4 guests, you will be comfortable here. Located 30 minutes from the city and just a few minutes from many resort attractions, you can easily explore the city and enjoy the outdoors all in the same day! A visit to Village Vacances Valcartier, a rafting trip, or a stroll through Old Quebec will keep your days full!
Enter a small haven of peace. The back of the glass dome allows you to admire the surrounding nature—river, forest, and mountains. You can comfortably enjoy this view both from inside and outside on your personal terrace. You will appreciate the skylight, which allows sunlight to brighten the space.
Accommodating up to 4 people, there is a queen-size bed and a double sofa bed. Bed linens are provided.
To prepare a small meal, you can use the portable BBQ and a propane stove. You must bring your own propane bottle (small 16 oz Coleman-style). Cooking must be done outside, as open flames are prohibited indoors.
For cooking, a propane stove, a portable propane barbecue, cooking equipment (utensils, plates, pots, etc.), and drinking water are provided. You will need to bring your own cooler for food storage, as there is no refrigerator. We also recommend bringing a flashlight for evening trips.
You will have access to the sanitary block, which is just a short walk away. In summer, the river is accessible for swimming and fishing.
A barbecue station has been set up near the block. This space is mainly reserved for mini-chalet guests, but other visitors can also use it, subject to availability. Usage is allowed between May 1st and October 31st only.
The dome has minimal electricity thanks to solar power, allowing you to use lights and charge your cell phones.
Although there is an automatic indoor fireplace, we recommend bringing a pair of sandals or slippers and warm clothes for inside the domes to make your stay more comfortable.
In the sanitary block, you have access to sinks, toilets, and pay showers. To use a pay shower, it costs $1 for 3 minutes of use (only accepts $1 coins). Please remember to bring your towels.
The dome is located on the Vallée Jeunesse site, a non-profit organization that helps young people facing academic or social adaptation challenges. When you rent a dome, chalet, or house, you help finance this organization’s mission: to restore hope to struggling youth, giving them confidence in their abilities and their future! Like a resort, the Vallée site features several other houses and chalets, gathering spaces, access to the Jacques-Cartier River, and canoe rentals for your enjoyment.
The river is open for swimming and fishing during the summer.
