The room had not been properly cleaned. There was hair in the bathroom behind the door. Two dental flossers were on the floor near the bed from a previous guest.

Location is amazing; just outside of the old town, very convenient. Rooms and common areas look and feel dated, but still comfortable; BUT it’s really noisy and annoying when you can hear your neighbours toilet flushing and their conversations all night. I am not a picky person so I gave them 4 for the staff and the location.

The good: good location, pleasant staff. The bad: 1. Immediately upon entering the hotel, my wife & I were struck by the attire of the staff at the front desk. It was very unprofessional seeing the reception staff wearing T-shirts, jeans & pajama bottoms. 2. When told that the fitness room was closed for renovation (I ALWAYS check that any hotel that I stay in has a fitness room, as generally my wife & I exercise daily), I inquired if we could use the fitness center at the nearby Marriott. It is hard to imagine that the communication between the 2 hotels is so poor, that the GM could not even get an answer. 3. I was offered compensation of $50 per day, but that was then rescinded when the GM found that I had booked through Expedia. I have not received any compensation to date. 4. The minor things: The clock in the room was nonfunctional. Despite a visit by maintenance, it was never replaced. The peeling paint in the shower. The lack of a safe for passport or electronics in the room. Much could & should be done to restore my faith in the Marriott family of hotels.

They were doing renovations and warned that there would be some noise but we didn’t hear a thing. Great stay, comfortable beds, quiet, safe and an excellent location. Walking distance for most areas of interest. I would stay there again also would recommend to friends.

Mold in shower. no cups for coffee in room, hard hotel to navigate. Staff was very helpful. Have to get off at 3rd floor to then take seperate elevator to any floors above Narrow rolling stairs
