The property, like most motels, is old and dated but clean. Perhaps replacing the curtains in favour of roller blinds, getting rid of the bath shower combination to a shower only with a single glass. A bigger TV might be something to think about.

The Gold Rush Inn was very clean, spacious room, easy parking, surrounding area was nice & clean & tidy. Don’t expect the reception to be opened too often or if at all. Communication was good. Would recommend

Not a new property but great care and pride has been taken to provide excellent accommodation at a very moderate cost. Rooms are spacious and very well furnished and equiped including the kitchenette.

Not many places to stay in Queenstown. We were happy with our choice. We went on a Cruise at Strahan, so I would definitely suggest to stay in Strahan. The road to Strahan is windy. Otherwise, this motel is clean and comfortable.

Friendly Queenstown
Easy checkin and a warm welcome. The room was clean and had a small kitchen. There was an on site restaurant that you could order a takeaway meal from. There was also a laundry which was great. The motel was close to the town centre.

This is a classic oldstyle Australian hotel. Staying there made us really feel Queenstown. Parking is easy, facilitias are very generous, dinner at the hotel's restaurant is unique. Highly recommended

couple short stay
This hotel was on the edge of town. When we arrived we felt that we had driven to a "western type hotel" that looked like it had been around for a long time. When we entered our room however it was fabulous. Huge room with kitchenette, comfy sofa to sit on as well as everything else needed to make one comfortable. On site was a very very chic restaurant with extremely good food at extremely reasonable prices. We stayed here 2 nights and were very very happy with the place.
