I was never told there isn't heat in the Lake House rooms. It was super cold. Even with the tiny little portable heater in the room? The hair dryer wasn't working properly and our lake view, well, it was tree trunks, we couldn't see the lake.
Great hotel, historic , great food and easy walks nearby

There is zero cell phone reception at the lodge, no phones in the room, and customers are required to purchase Wifi. This is a money grab and somewhat concerning not to have a phone in emergency situations.
There was a 65 inch TV in our room-but no channels or streaming. Why was it even in the room? It’s 2025. I understand unplugging, but we have become accustomed to amenities.
I went and spoke to Cameron, the manager, about my concerns. He told me that no lodging at Lake Quinalt had WiFi or reception. Yet the hotel next door had WiFi and streaming.
I asked him for a refund on our room because we wanted to leave immediately. He said because the Quinalt Lodge is owned by a ‘big corporation’ he has no control over anything. However he did offer to carry our bags to the car.
The facility was beautiful and clean. I really wanted to stay there. But with no phones for safety or TV just to chill out, we ended up leaving immediately and forfeiting the nightly expense-and went to the hotel next door with basic modern amenities.
Lovely old lodge that overlooks a beautiful lake. Extremely limited internet service and no room TV or radio. I would have appreciated a radio. Delicious dinner in the restaurant. Very frosty and icy for this January trip, but i was still able to hike several short trails to admire HUGE trees and icy undergrowth.
The lodge was a great retreat from the busy city life. Only small problem was that our room was located next to the great hall which had a group playing a board game very loud at night, so we heard everything. Walls are super thin.
Loved the property. Went for dinner and was greeted by a waitress who screamed at me telling me to back up behind the sign. After doing so I informed her I was going to the bar with my wife. She then said we don’t have a bartender so wait by the fireplace I’ll take your order.
Can't believe the lodge is 99 years old; it's been lovingly maintained. We stayed in one of the Lakeside rooms, delightfully quiet. The rooms had been nicely redone since we last stayed there 20 years ago. Some of the couch cushions in the main lodge's lobby were cracking; hopefully they'll be reupholstered soon.
The rooms in the lodge are quite noisy and are lacking a tv or refrigerator and poor Wi-Fi. We have come to expect these things. The newer rooms away from the main lodge are quite nice.
