Hotel Zen provided a comfortable stay for our group as we came & went from Quito during our stay. Conveniently located near the busy Mariscal district, we found everything we wanted within walking distance from the hotel. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and service from the entire staff was courteous, attentive and much appreciated. Neighborhood eateries, cabs and/or Uber arrangements and assistance with anything that arose during our stay...all accomplished with a friendly smile. I will be back on my next visit to Quito!

The staff and their friendliness were outstanding. Our room was kept very clean and breakfast was always supplied with a good variety of fruits with the breakfast menu. If the hotel had a good restaurant that served dinner as well as breakfast that would be a welcome addition to the stay at the hotel.

It's a nice hotel, but they do have to improve in some aspects: Internet speed is terrible Noise from the street They had a problem the first day with water temperature, next day it was fine.

Business Hotel with great staff.
Stayed 5 nights at this business hotel. Pros: Room and bathroom were comfortable, modern and clean. Good location with plenty of restaurant options three blocks away. Staff were fabulous! Especially Angel. Also Ricardo a driver recommended by hotel was excellent! He took us on day long tours to volcanos and other interesting sites. Cons: Breakfast was bellow average served in unattractive room without windows. Tiny lobby. Not sure why the hotel name includes the word Zen? This is definitely a business hotel.

Outstanding stay over three days. Well-located modern comfortable hotel in Quito. Great selection of restaurants and bars within 10 minutes in several directions. Also, huge supermarket 5 minutes away.

I stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting Ecuador and I couldn’t have been happier. The room was clean and comfortable-the standard you would expect from Best Western. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. When I developed neck pain they located a chiropractor and scheduled the appointment for me. When The shuttle driver dropped me off at the bus station she walked me in, helped me buy a ticket and walked me to the bus (which probably saved me an hour of wandering around lost). This is in addition to having doors held open, bright greetings and cabs called for me every day. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Overall, I am happy with the hotel. I stayed here a few days earlier. The room I stayed in had a hole in the wall where the TV and cable connections were that allowed one to look into the other room (and vice versa). This stay, the room was great. I would come back here. The staff was great, the location is good, the price is good.

I callled at 8am to ask if the suites were facing the street (due to noise). They told me they were all facing the back. On checkin, they tried to give me the wrong room (a superior instead of junior suite which i paid for). Next morning at 8am they woke me up for no reason. My guess: they forgot which room i was in due to their own disorganisation. They sent me fruits and a bar of chocolate to make up for it. That was alright i guess.
