This guesthouse was the worst one of the 9 during our trip.
There were only two showers for the building, one was closed. The water pressure was very weak. The downstairs bathroom lights did not work so there was one men’s toilet and two women’s for the building.
The number to call the front desk receptionist didn’t work, we got lucky and a cleaning guy was there to get her for us quickly. The next guests had to wait about 30 minutes. They waited so long they knocked on our door (the closest to the desk) to see if we knew how to reach her.
There was no room to do laundry, the only way to store food was a MINI fridge everyone shares in the common room.
If you don’t care about all that and your only goal is to sleep and leave, you’re out of luck too. Maybe some rooms aren’t just bunk beds, but our room was 3 bunk beds. None of us cared about that but they were all so squeaky any movement at all would cause the bed to squeak. We had 5 people for the 3 bunk beds. The person by himself tried to sleep on the top bunk. Even when he wasn’t moving, the bed would still subtlety squeak.
The place was clean, but that’s the bare minimum. The only saving grace was how close it was to a waterfall but that waterfall has its own hotel and restaurant attached, I believe it’s Skógafoss.
Just spend the extra money and stay somewhere else, maybe if it’s just 1 or 2 guests your sleeping arrangements would be better. I’m not sure, but what we got was the size of a dorm room, for 5 people.
