If you’re looking for a family run business, with beautiful lake surroundings, look no further!! The staff is kind and very helpful. The owner went out of his way to get my room ready as I was 3h early for check in! You do need a car as the transportation is very limited (1 bus a day on the weekend 😅). Unfortunately the snow melted by the time I arrived, as it’s early in the season, but I did get to see a stunning Aurora dancing over me just on the front yard: once in a lifetime experience that I’ll never forget 💕. I’ll definitely come back….with a car 😂. Kiitos 💕💕💕

I was expecting the location to be further away from town, but it was right next to the road. There is not much around for food options and tours, you have to go through them. I wish the dog sledding was more than just around the lake. The snowmobiling was awesome. The showers need a big update.
Not value for money at all
Service from hanah was excellent but amenities like bath room are non existent till you ask for it they are all communal which is big no no
Same breakfast every day which is no
The igloo was comfortable and smart. However, the wifi in our igloo was not working and the staff just said they can’t help it. They could have asked the service person for the igloo to fix it the next day. The traditional sauna was run down and not sealed, cold air kept coming in and there were no instructions to guide guests on how to use it. By the time we came, the fire was almost gone. We had to restart the fire ourselves and by the time the fire is up and warming the room, our time is up. The toilet in the guesthouse was also very basic and run down. One is small where your clothes might get wet. Lastly, it’s not very accessible and there’s only few buses to and fro Ranua per day. Be prepared to walk 15-20min to and fro the accommodation too.
Fantastic accommodation in the igloo. Can be slightly cramped at times but this is expected with the type of room.
Fantastic staff/service with amenities on site.

The property is quite old. No lavatory inside the room so if you need to wash your hands nor get water, you still have to go outside. Also the space is so small inside the room. Bus station is 10 minutes away and there are only 4 bus schedules so you have to plan your trips.
Would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back. My husband booked an igloo for us for a long weekend in November for my 30th. The igloos were special, different and were located right on the frozen lake. They were private, quiet and had great views. The guesthouse had everything you needed from a restaurant, shower room, two saunas and firepit hut. The staff were so friendly, accommodating, welcoming and happy to help with anything. Breakfast was good. We didn’t make it to the restaurant but instead used the hut with a roaring fire where we cooked our own dinner which was lovely and unique. There at two saunas available which need booking an hour before use and were free any time we wanted. The choice of activities available were great, very unique and reasonably priced. The guide was amazing. All equipment was provided at no extra cost and we did each one just the two of us so it was like our own private activity. The guesthouse is around 1-1.5hour from Rovaniemi by public bus which was easy to get and stopped pretty much right outside. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable stay.
We stayed in an igloo and we were able to catch a glimpse of what was probably the Northern Lights. The igloo was super comfortable and in a remote location. We would come back for sure.
It would be good if there was housekeeping of rooms as we had to constantly keep on asking for top up of toilet paper, self-cleared the rubbish bins and the eco toilet in the igloo had started to smell mid-way during our 6 days stay there. Other than that, the rest were satisfactory.
They put all the false information on the websites, the pictures on the websites are misleading once you see the property you will feel trapped and then they have no refund policy. So please please beware and do not book this property. No good surrounding. No healthy staff. Very bad experience. The property was that bad that I was not even able to stay for my booking. So please make sure when you book you see the property first and then only book this place.
We stayed for one night but I wish we had booked for longer. We had one of the basic rooms in the old house with shared bathroom. They are simple, basic and clean. The beds are comfortable and you overlook just really how basic it is because this little guest house shines in every other aspect. The location is amazing, the food was great, we tried 3 different dishes and they were all top class, home cooked and really tasty. The staff were all friendly and more than helpful. Equipment rental is offered at really good prices. I took the SUP board out and loved it. The area by the hotel was perfect for swimming with children. They have a lovely sauna and kota by the lake. All in all fantastic place and I will definitely return, hopefully to one of the igloo next time
I’ve booked the regular single room and not Igloos but I’ll recommend anyone in doubt of booking this guesthouse, because the view and the environment is so incredibly beautiful, though it’s a pity that the night I stayed is hazy and cannot see arctic light, but the environment and atmosphere is amazing!
So don’t hesitate if you’re still in doubt, it’s to book👍
