Long wait at car park gate to be let in. No car parking space even tho we called 3 days before and reversed one. They let us park by the bins in the end for £19 not what I would expect. Booked and paid for breakfast then in the morning said we didn't pay and tried to charge us twice for breakfast. Main reason for staying was the swimming pool facilities only for them too be shut until further notice.

Lovely clean room, great breakfast. Pool a bit crowded. Lifts took forever to come.. Could have used stairs, but we were on 12th floor. Booked parking, which was difficult to find, even with sat nav. Driving round Reading quite confusing.

This property has many homeless people living/sleeping on the streets. As we arrived at midnight -due to airport issues -it was very scary as it appeared to be a beautiful hotel on line the last thing I expected was to be in an area like this. The hotel clerk was friendly and welcoming as we checked in. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast staff was friendly. The food was FANTASTIC. Would not stay again ONLY because of the location. PS would appreciate more than one towel per person. Hotel was excellent.

Very convenient for the train station and (limited) onsite parking. Comfortable room and did the job for a one night stay. Quite noisy in the High St side room I stayed in - sounded like it was coming from a late club with banging music opposite the hotel

Avoid - so very noisy with local bars
The noise from local bars until early hours of the morning meant I didn’t sleep for 2 nights. The staff are very unhelpful.

A really lovely hotel. I had an issue that the new bedsheet having a stain of blood from a previous guest, and the staff quickly arranged for the bedsheet to be changed. I probably would have preferred to have a whole new set of bed linen, rather than just changing the one offending sheet. Aside from that, I had a pleasant stay and would stay again.

It was an amazing stay...awesome front desk staffs..beautiful place to stay .Anazing breakfast but same thing everyday wasn't really good for me..fire alarm testing put me off ,hotel should always inform customers before such testing to avoid panic attacks..apart from this one or teo Novotel is a place to stay for holiday

A good stay
A great stay for our purposes (overnight to be ready for my brother's 60thbirhday celebratipns the next day. Room clean and functional- no frills (water, biscuits etc) but good value for money. We had dinner at the hotel on arrival. Good selectipn again reasonably priced. Service not alwayssogoood. Just one bartender which meant quite a wait to be served- frustrating after a long drive. My drink withmy meal did not arrive with the others and so I needef to go up to the bar to get it; and again just one person at checkout which again meant a wait for leaving. Overall a good stay. .
