Checking in was a bit of a problem, no one on the desk and no one answering the phone. I had to go over to the pub to get someone to book me in. Not the first time it's happened here. Everything else was good.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. Furnuture was in new condition, including the carpets. The bed was very comfortable & a good size. The pillows were also very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean & included liquid soap & shampoo. The towels were white & soft. It was a nice quiet hotel . We enjoyed our 3night stay & would return.

Fantastic budget hotel! A***
Fantastic budget hotel - arrived around 8pm and had to collect keys from the restaurant. Was welcomed by Dan who checked us in, and let us know everything we needed to know. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were super comfortable. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room offering Nescafe gold blend!! Which is sooooo appreciated as most hotels only have Nescafe Red which is the worst coffee in the world! The bathroom was lovely, clean and shower was wonderful with excellent water pressure and temperature. Will be staying again in the future - and highly recommend eating in the restaurant next door, we had a gorgeous dinner and breakfast in the morning which was well cooked and reasonable in price! Thank you Meadow Farm!

The first 2 nights were OK. On the third night a van had parked next to me in a dissabled bay not displaying a blue badge. Informed the night porter who took his reg number and told me he'd sort it out in the morning. Then throughout the whole night someone was banging doors at about 12 midnight. I opened our door to wait their return. They did and turns out they were next door to6ud9. There followed a few word exchanges to which they had no reply. The door banging went on all night. We didn't get any sleep on our third night so pretty bad really. We then had a 200 mile journey home feeling tired and drained.

Shower heaven
I travel for business a lot and let me tell you just how awful the showers can be. Well, not in this hotel. Really good shower, bed and great food. The only thing I would pick up on is the barman who was miserable and had a face like a smacked backside. But other than that a fantastic experience. Will definitely come back here again.
