Newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 800 sq feet, southwestern styled cozy cabin. This cabin is steps away from beautiful Big Sand lake at Balsam Bay Resort near Remer. Enjoy the heated pool, beach, ATV and snowmobile trails, great fishing and other water activities the lake and resort has to offer! Boat landing and new docking system to keep your boat. This is one of 5 cabins in the resort with a small RV park in a separate location on the property. Come to fish, swim, enjoy a cozy campfire or find the zen with beautiful Mother Nature. Great Lake weekend
The lake is perfect for tubing, fishing, cruising at sunset, etc. as it is big and empty even on a July weekend. Very few cottages around. The boat put-in was right next to the cottage and the owner helped us find a pontoon rental last minute. We had plenty of supplies but could have used a better (flat bottomed) frypan. Mattresses are getting lumpy but overall a classic MN lake cabin. Grandson caught and released over 40 fish from the dock using bread. He made friends from the other cottages easily. The pool was clean and clear and we were glad we brought some floaties, swim goggles, and our own life jackets for boating/swimming. We want to go back!

Peaceful getaway!
Thank you Chad and Jessica for sharing your lovely cabin. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the peaceful, secluded atmosphere. We had 2 grandsons with us, age 9 & 10, and they kept busy with the paddle boats, fishing and swimming in the pool. We will definitely be back!!
