Vineyard Hideaway, peace and tranquility

Welcome....come and stay! Situated a few kms out of Renwick, the Cedar Barn lies within the DDOG Vineyard and is at the end of a private road.

Set away from the main homestead, you can enjoy your own privacy whilst taking in the stunning views over our vineyard and olive grove, and further across both the Richmond ranges and Wither Hills.

From the top floor of the Cedar Barn, the open plan loft area includes one King bed, king single with rollaway single bed, spacious lounge, dining and kitchen facilities.

Downstairs you will find another bedroom area with Queen bed, king single and rollaway single bed, with lounge area, with french doors opening out onto the courtyard. Main bathroom and full laundry facilities also downstairs.

The accommodation is self-catering (convection/microwave oven and hot plates available) and fully set up for guests to come and go as they please. The pantry/fridge includes necessities such as coffee, various teas, milo, milk and other basic condiments.

Breakfast includes our fresh free range eggs, bread, cereal, our own jams and seasonal fruit from our orchard on arrival.
Wine with cheese platter can also be arranged on arrival (poa).

Relax in the spacious living area where it’s lovely and cosy in both winter and summer. For the colder nights enjoy the wood fire.

We also cater for small people and have a port-a-cot and high chair available on request, and a toy box full of toys and books to entertain young children.

Outdoor entertaining area and BBQ included.

We want to live here now!
This converted vineyard barn is stunning! We loved it. The hosts are so kind and helpful. Fresh eggs, jams, and other treats simply added to the pleasure of our stay. And the location right outside Renwick is simply minutes from many outstanding cellar doors. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Vineyard Hideaway!
From the initial booking to giving recommendations, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything needed, Ange and Steve were absolutely amazing! Ange answered my many questions on line and in person and was ever so gracious! We added the welcome cheese plate and wine which was beautifully set up and so delicious! There was a multitude of choices for breakfast, the farm fresh eggs being my favorite! After a busy week and ferry ride, this spot was an absolute needed haven! We were able to relax, walk through the vineyard and olive groves, feed the chickens (and Shirley the Guinea fowl!), and just enjoy being in the moment. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to make a couple of easy homemade dinners. Highly recommend!

Marlborough Wine Trip
We loved this property. Beautiful setting in a small farm and vineyard. Large and spacious, the kitchen is well stocked. Little touches such fresh eggs and flowers shows great attention to detail. Ange and Steve are on hand to answer any questions and communication is excellent. If we're in this area again we'd stay again. Highly recommend.

A little slice of heaven!!!
Gorgeous property in a small vineyard. The owners have planted many native trees and have a lovely acreage with a wooded area with ponds and walking paths. Excellent birding!! Extremely well stocked, comfortable accommodations. Wake up to birdsong surrounded by a beautiful vineyard, flowers and trees. It doesn’t get much better than this!! Highly recommend!

Magic in Marlborough
Staying at the Cedar Barn was really the highlight of our two week South Island trip. Ange was such a welcoming host, and the property was outstanding! We loved all the extra touches such as complementary wine, bread, eggs and nibbles. The barn was super spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. I couldn't stop photographing the views as the light changed over the vineyards and ranges in the distance. The only negative is that we couldn't stay longer!

The Perfect Getaway !
Such a lovely cosy property with everything we needed … plus much more. Attention to detail and little treats were much appreciated. We took advantage of the offer of a cheese platter and local bottle of wine on arrival …. divine ! 😋 Our hosts were amazing and had great suggestions for dining out. Gorgeous vineyard views and we even watched the grape harvest Location is perfect for exploring this lovely wine region!

Must stay sanctuary in Marlborough
Wow, what a spectacular setting for the last week of our trip to New Zealand. The cottage has everything you need and so many unexpected personal touches. The hosts were wonderful -- engaging but not intrusive. We visited during the beginning of the harvest season and they provided great insight and perspective about the local wine industry. The peaceful property is within a few miles of numerous wineries, bike trails, airport and the charming small shopping area of Renwick. We hope to return to NZ and would love to spend another night in the cottage.

Fab hideaway near Blenheim
If you are planning to stay near Blenheim you owe yourself to check out this fabulous accommodation. We had the freedom of the vineyard, orchard, and olive plantation. Steve (one half of the fab hosts) even leant us his little 4x4 truck to drive around the spread. Ange (the other half of the fab hosts) made sure we had everything we needed with rather well stocked cupboard and fridge. There is even a bottle of the excellent DDOG Sav (you will not find it in the shops). Also try the cheese platter and wine one evening ($45). The accommodation includes a laundry so no need to pack a million clothes. Save yourself time. No need to search further. Book this place. Ange and Steve will make sure you have a fab stay.
