If you're in Reykjavik to stay up late partying and enjoying the nightlife, then this is an ideal place to stay. If you're on a 24 hour stopover and want to get a little sleep like we were, then it is not a good fit.
This place was in a prime location, right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. The flip side is that it was RIGHT on top of a bar/club and faces on to a popular "party" street, so there was thumping bass all night and loud activity until 5am. At 8am, the powerwashers came to clean up - even with earplugs none of us got more than a few hours of sleep. It also was not accessible by /car bus because it was on a restricted street, which means we walked blocks with our bags in the middle of the night just to get there. The place itself was clean and we'll kept, with easy self check in and check out. There was plenty of food provided for a quick breakfast (skyr, fruit, milk and cereal, snacks, juice) which was a lovely touch. Great, comfortable place, great location, just not convenient for a quick in and out stay like we had.
