location was perfect, easy free parking, very friendly front desk, eager to get us oriented, beautiful art collection in every room and hall. great "feel" and safe and comfortable. good breakfast and great sitting room/reading room. I would stay there again on my return. not sterile or "chain" feeling, but the most personality of any place we found in Iceland.

A very warm cozy feeling from the many small rooms in the reception area and especially the bar area. Art work on the walls adds to the upscale impression. Rooms are small.

The staff was great and the location is excellent! Parking was tricky due to a movie being filmed while we were there, but otherwise there are 2 lots to park in directly next and across from the hotel entrance. Walking distance to everything and in the cat district which was fun. Only downside was the bed which wasn’t the most comfortable.

Great location, wonderful stay
Spent two nights here while in Iceland and it was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, and the front desk was extremely helpful, providing recommendations for dinner and how/where to see the northern lights. Would absolutely recommend/stay here again.

Lovely hotel in it’s former days. Staff is friendly but they haven’t had a restaurant in quite some time. The day I was there if you wanted to enjoy a drink in the lovely sitting room you had to buy it from the front desk. No bar in a supposedly 4 star hotel?

Exceptional staff were very helpful upon arrival. The lounge area is amazing and we saw multiple parties including ourselves taking advantage of the space and enjoying the art work. Great breakfast as well.
