Hafnarfjörður Hygge
The Viking Hotel is situated on Hafnarfjörður harbour. The reception was very friendly. The single room was small but comfortable. The hotel is in good condition. I had a couple of beers and an Eric the Red Pizza in the Fjaran Restaurant across the street. The staff were very friendly and the food and drink were excellent. I was unable to experience breakfast in the hotel due to an early flight from Keflavik Airport which is only 35 minutes from the hotel. I would recommend the Viking Hotel for easrly fliers.

Great hotel. Looked just like the pictures. A lot of interesting signs and carvings inside and out. Going back there on Tuesday before we leave for home.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was overall comfortable but the floor had a lot of sand and rock that was not properly cleaned. The lighting is also not the best which is probably why it was hard to clean the floors. The breakfast being included was very nice but doesn’t open until 7:30 so if you have early days you can’t count on it as you’re not allowed to take it with you. Overall would stay there again.

We rented two cabins. Each cabin was supposed to have a full size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a twin bed according to the description. In the picture, everything was on the ground floor. We arrived to find one cabin with two twins upstairs and the other cabin had two twins upstairs and two sets of bunks on the main level. I told the front desk this wasn't what we reserved. She was polite but said there was nothing else available. My parents are 75 and had to climb up a ladder and we didn't have enough beds. I was told to speak to the front desk in the morning and he said that they reserve the right to make any change they want. He could have cared less that my elderly parents had to climb a ladder and people had to sleep on the floor even though we paid for a bed for everyone. It was all cute and clean but definitely not worth this kind of hassle.

-The hotel was overall nice and clean. -You need a car to go the downtown. It was like 10 kms drive from the hotel to downtown. -Breakfast was good. -Room was very small.

Very comfortable beds. Loved the whole novelty viking themed decor. Bus stop right outside. Enjoyed a meal in their restaurant one of the nights. My son ate sheeps head Lol Theres a hot tub you can use out back. Would recommend having a car staying here.

Reasonable. Booked two rooms - allocated one that looked out over the bay and they was good. The second room was on ground floor directly next to hot tub. Hot tub machinery ran all night and was noisy. Also sounded like there was a laundry nearby that started a machine at around 4am.
