I did not like the hidden fees! The parking fee was not obvious when I made the reservation. Then it was really $9, not $8 as my email indicated. Hiding fees is sneaky. Just add the $9 to the cost of the room. It would still be a reasonable price. The room is very nice.

Party all night! I thought this was not allowed!!!
I have stayed at this hotel every time I come to Richmond, but this time they allowed a very loud, marijuana smoking party that were loud and obnoxious until 4am. We had a room on the 3rd floor where the party was, and they moved my family thank goodness due to the loud music and smells to the 5th floor. I was on the 1st floor and the party goers were constantly opening and closing the side door and laughing and making noise all night!!!!! The in the morning breakfast was awful the oatmeal at 7:30am was very watery. The counters were not kept clean and it was just not what we were use to. We are staying 2 more nights but if we have the same kind of night and breakfast we will not be back.

It was just ok. Room was a “suite” but it was really a small studio. Very small bathroom. Like the kind where you have to dance around the toilet just to shut the door. Air conditioning worked great though.

Stayed for a Thanksgiving field hockey tournament. Pictures are misleading. Older place with a remodel. The breakfast buffet looked nothing like the pics. Solid 3 star definitely not worth $400 a night. Unlike Arnold, I won’t be back!

The free continental breakfast was limited in options - scrambled eggs and breakfast meats are typical for hotel breakfast options, and these were not available. On Sunday morning, they ran out of oatmeal before 9am. There was a Peloton bike available in the fitness center, but that information was not available on the website. The bike was not equipped with cages, so unless you brought bike shoes, you couldn't use the bike. And since you wouldn't know from the website that a Peloton bike was available, you wouldn't know to potentially bring your shoes.

We only had 1 tissue & had no body wash in shower. Shower/toilet room is tight, door literally almost touches toilet. Closet is on smaller side too, but having a separate sitting room is nice. Wish the fridge had a freezer section. Breakfast was nice but missing hot eggs & breakfast meats. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Overall a clean place. Parking is $8/24 hours.

I was displeased first with the fact that No One Answers the phone. Second, I was displeased with the fact of paying almost $400 I still had to pay for parking on the hotel premises per night! CRAZY! There was only one bed in my room when I asked for two beds. Overall, this was a solid 2 as for a rating. I would not recommend, nor would I stay at this Hotel again.

I traveled to Virginia from Pennsylvania and was very disappointed with my stay at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Midlothian Va. I will never return again! As soon as we stepped into the elevator we knew that our experience was not going to be good. The carpet was dirty and the elevator smelled! The facility itself is old, dated and had not been renovated in years. The website pictures are deceiving! As soon as we walked into the room that “stale old water in the carpet smell” hit us immediately.The curtains were yellowing, dingy and had not been washed in years. The bed skirt was dirty & drooping. I noticed a thumb print smudge on the wall like possibly blood (?) The bathroom was so dim you could not see. The room carpet was vacuumed but dirty; my socks were gray by nightfall. They had a mini fridge but no microwave; and the one in the lobby was so old and outdated like they got it from a “Good Will”. And the worst part is that they charge you $8 a night for parking in the parking lot!! Where else were we going to park? When we objected they waved the fee. They charged me top dollar thru Travelocity! And It was not worth it! I chose the Hyatt because the name is suppose to be equated with a “superior quantity stay.” I chose this hotel over the Sheraton, the Hilton and the Hampton Inn which were in the area and gave a better rate. I probably could have gotten a better experience at the “Extended Stay” next door! Clean up your act Hyatt Place! Never again!
