I am so happy I read the reviews that if you book through expedia they will still try to charge your card full price instead of the regular room hold. I specially used a card with just enough transferred over and yep it declined b/c the front desk lady swiped for a full nights stay. The property is beautiful and very clean but please verify what amount they are charging for first. Either there needs to be more training or something fishy is going on... how does this happen several times?

There are a few hidden fees they don't tell you about prior to checking in. They charge a daily $40 fee for towels. Also, even though they have a parking garage, they won't validate your parking, so either you stay parked and pay a large ticket at the end of your stay, or pay multiple times (every time you leave the parking garage). This is a very nice hotel, but parking validation for guests should be a thing.

The hotel is located in downtown Richmond, VA. The area around the hotel is old and very dated. but the hotel itself is modern and up to date. It is by far the best building on the block, including the Hyatt which is across the street from the hotel.

Not a bad stay. Only two issues that I had was that the room would not get cold regardless how low you set it and the glass sliding doors wouldn’t not stay close in the shower which contributed to having water everywhere on the floor.
