Beautiful historic home
Spent the weekend at Terre Haute with friends from college. The home and grounds were beautiful! The host was fantastic and we appreciate the treat basket left out for us. The books were fantastic! It was very quiet and peaceful and I would definitely stay again. My only suggestions would be to offer a little more comfortable seating for just having coffee and catching up. Otherwise, thank you for a lovely stay.

Experience Tranquility at this Historic Farmhouse
This property was ideal for 8 of our out of town guests to stay while in Midlothian for a large family gathering at our own home. Very clean and well appointed with beautiful antique furniture, Teresa's home offered a comfortable place to relax. The kitchen had all of the amenities of home if you'd like to prepare your own meals. Sitting in the sunroom was especially serene with it's wide windows that overlooked the peaceful landscape. Terre Haute is tucked back from the main road, far enough to feel secluded from civilization, yet conveniently located just a few minutes from Route 288. Many great restaurants and shopping are within 15 minutes and downtown Richmond is within 30 minutes. We will definitely refer Terre Haute to other family members and friends who come to visit us in Midlothian!

The property was an amazing place to be able to relax during our stay in Virginia. The charm of the antiques and comfort of the home was very welcoming. Teresa was very accommodating and responded quickly and to any questions that I had. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Richmond for Pickleball
I took two teams (UMASS & JMU) to the college super regional Pickleball tournament. The house was fantastic because it was affordable for college kids (though one needed to be 30 years of age to book it…I exceed that age), it had lots of beds and enough bathrooms and a kitchen. I recommend getting there in the daylight hours because it is a little off the beaten path and dark when you arrive but it was perfect fit for our needs - great hospitality! Beautiful animals in the property too (donkeys and horses) and a home and land full of history. Less than 20 minutes from pickleball paradise (Performance Pickleball)…an amazing facility. Thank you!

Charming and Welcoming Manor Home
This lovely property was perfectly wonderful for our holiday get away. My husband and I enjoyed staying at this beautifully decorated house which was conveniently located near Richmond, which we frequented during our stay. The home is spacious, with many interesting rooms, as well as warm and inviting. We arrived to a cozy atmosphere complete with Christmas carols playing! Everything is as it appears online. Very clean and lovely. The historic home has a long history and there are newspaper articles, etc. available to read if interested. The surrounding property is spacious and picturesque. There are many horses around to see when coming and going and even visible from inside the house. Comfortable bed and kitchen was enjoyable for making and enjoying meals. Pretty dining room with fireplace as well. We used both. The manor would be an enjoyable place to vacation any time of the year, however I can’t say enough about the extensive holiday decorations. If you love an old fashioned Christmas then you will find it here! Finally, Teresa was a wonderful hostess and she was always available if needed, although we didn’t have any issues, just a question or two maybe. Thoroughly enjoyable!!

Ideal place for bass anglers and history buffs!!
Our expectations were exceeded staying at this property. My group consisted of six professional anglers - the privacy and safety gave us great peace of mind having our trucks and boats parked each evening with plenty of room. The history behind this house was fascinating. We all loved learning more about the home and the surrounding areas. The home itself was comfortable, clean, and provided us everything we needed to feel at home the week we were there. We made dinners every night and really liked having the dishwasher. The washer and dryer were brand new and a huge plus for our crew. Last but most importantly, Teresa the host was outstanding. She was extremely responsive, kind, and went out of her way to take care of the minor requests we had. Next time we come back to fish the James River, we will definitely book here again!

Lovely holiday spot
Terre Haute was a lovely place to stay — especially for Christmas. There are so many rooms to explore, our personal favorite being the sunroom, where we spent most of our time. That said, we spent a couple evenings in the living room by the cozy fireplace after a delicious meal which was easy to make in the well equipped kitchen. We also managed to squeeze in a couple holiday jogs, which were made bearable by the beautiful surroundings and obviously, the cute horses and singular llama. The grocery store / movie theater / town were all really accessible (a 10 min drive), but the manor itself was nicely tucked away. Would definitely recommend for your next family or friends getaway.

Wonderful weekend away!
This property was perfect for our girls weekend! The was tons of space for us to spread out but we mainly spent time in the kitchen and cozy sunroom. There was even enough space for all 5 of us to do yoga in the sunroom together! Teresa had excellent communication. Highly recommend!

Amazing place in an amazing location!!
This the second time that my company has had the pressure of staying at this amazing home. Our Host was absolutely amazing and was very responsive to all of our needs. The property and home is immaculate and located just outside of the city. If you are looking for a country feel close to the city, then this is the place for you. You can take the time to relax outside and enjoy the piece and quiet of the large ranch while watching the horse roam the pasture. Absolutely amazing!

Perfect stay for our event
Terre Haute Manor was a perfect stay logistically for our 70th birthday event. In our case there were only 5 of us so the space was extremely generous. Everything was clean and we had more bathrooms than we needed. We spent most of our time in the rustic breakfast room/kitchen and in the sun room. The history of the property and its surrounds added an element of authenticity that surpassed even the warm comfort of the home itself. Teresa was a fantastic host who made our entire stay and the accommodation it afforded absolutely welcoming. Hear, hear! You won’t go wrong staying at Terre Haute Manor if you enjoy Virginia history and the long connection of its past and present citizens to its beautiful land.

This has to be one of the nicest places that I think I have ever stayed. I was in Richmond for work and my colleagues and I needed a large enough home to support 5-10 people. The Terre Haute Manor was amazing, and met all of our needs. There are so many beautiful nuances to the home that really made us feel at peace throughout our stay. I will recommend this home to everyone I know! Simply Amazing!
