Don't miss the 15% discount for a 7 days or longer stay, or the 30% discount for 28 days or longer! Only one step up to enter this old fashioned "mother-in-law flat" apartment is private, quiet, family friendly, and comfortable. You can bring your under 50lb. dog for a $20 per stay fee. A queen sized brass bed with homemade quilt and soft bedding is ready to welcome you into a real old-fashioned hospitable environment that is safe and restful. A couch/bed folds out to accommodate youngsters. It is completely rural, yet within two miles to the center of our little town. Canyonville and the 7 Feathers Indian Casino (with its restaurants) is only 8 miles away!
The second bed is a double size sofa sleeper, a hide-a-bed that is most comfortable for someone less than 90 pounds, and has its own soft bedding for dreamland excursions. The room dimming wooden horizontal window shades will let you sleep until you are fully rested. There are plush robes in the closet for your use.
There is a kitchen in this room, complete with refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker, pots/pans and dishes so you can choose to cook or enjoy going out to eat at the nearby 7 Feathers Casino (8 miles away) or any of our several nearby restaurants. Use paper plates supplied for you, or leave the dishes - we gladly do them in our dishwasher for you!
There is cable TV and internet in this cozy room.
There is a McDonald's, Mexican Restaurant, and Tesla charging station at exit 103 on Highway 5 at the edge of town and a binder in the room with suggestions of other eateries and things to do. Bring your bubble bath if you would like to relax in the soaking bathtub.
There is quite a list of wildlife who call this property home; deer finding a meal and hiding among the trees, a flock of wild turkeys strutting about, bushy tailed squirrels chattering and chasing around, quail who nest on the ground and scramble and scurry, you can hear the Canadian geese enjoying Cow Creek bordering the property, and little red foxes in the distance to name a few. You can absolutely hear the quiet as you play a board game or read a book from the bookshelf.
The weather is mild here, summer nights cool down nicely. Autumn brings all colors of leaves that fall by the thousands and thousands. Winters occasionally get a decorative dusting of snow that melts off in a couple of hours, no snow plows necessary in our little town with the elevation of 800'. If you are lucky enough to be here in the spring, the flowers are stunning! Sometimes at about 11:30 at night, if you are still awake and listening carefully, the "toot toot tooooooot" of the train that comes to get the lumber from the lumber mills can be heard off in the distance.
We will welcome you into our beautiful, peaceful little corner of this amazing world, and make your stay as comfortable as possible.
