Never expected breakfast which is included are so luxurious! And the lake view just right behind the hotel room is such stunning! It’s absolutely over expected!
Unique place, quiet and relaxing with a great view
Hotel Kenny was a beautiful and relaxing location. The new owners are working hard to refurbish the property but keeping the nostalgic feel, which we appreciate. The food was outstanding!!! We were there very late in the season and were the only people there the last night, however they treated us like royalty and served the best meal of the trip, family style! Chef Core went above and beyond and even opened the ice cream parlor for us, even though it was closed that day. We had unusually warm weather for October so the ice cream was a treat!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!
Jeff is an awesome host! The location of the property is lovely - on the water and at the base of the locks! The restaurant was not open while we were there so I can't comment. As for the property itself, it is in need of some TLC - sadly, it is quite rundown. Our accommodation in one of the chalets seemed to have had some renovations - a very comfy bed but still quite rustic. We look forward to returning when renovations are completed.
This was quite an expensive stay. We paid $280 for a Lakeside Room. The carpet in our room was dirty and full of animal hair. Some of our lights didn’t work and the water was cold when we showered. Overall, the staff was great, location is stunning, and the rooms are dated, grounds aren’t well maintained, and it seems too expensive for what you get.
Had relaxing weekend at Hotel Kenneys. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. The owners were great and got what we needed right away. Compliments to the Chef, the food was really good especially breakfast and Sunday brunch had so much variety. Stayed at the Inn on the lakes which is older part but very clean. Enjoyed the sliding door facing the water to sit and watch the boats going through the locks or just relax and read a book. The Jones Falls provincial park just a walk across ghe bridge was also nice to see. Would definetly recommend and will be going back.
woodwork was rotting, paint peeling, reception area smelled strongly of mildew. Unit bathroom was dirty, tub was filthy. Air conditioner very noisy. Owners info re where to find an open restaurant on a Monday was wrong.
TV worked.
nice snack bar
The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spread over several separate buildings. My room ("Inn on the Lake") was large, clean, an generally nice but the bathroom could use some renovation. The location is spectacular, in clear view of 3 tiers of the Jones Falls Locks.

Wonderful area and staff
But the place needs some love, very dated
Hidden gem by the Rideau. Picturesque, comfortable and dinner was outstanding.
Rooms are a bit dated, and included breakfast started a little late (9am). But, still great value and super friendly staff!
Quaint and historic. Beautiful location. Stayed in a rustic cabin - stylish renovation, and amazing water pressure in the shower.
Food in the restaurant far exceeded my expectations, though vegetarian options were minimal.
The hotel dog was relaxed and good-natured.
This property is being upgraded and still has quite a bit of work yet to be done. It is a place with an interesting history and great location though. The internet connection was not entirely reliable. This may have been due to storms which hit the area during our stay.
The new owner is doing an incredible job reopening this amazing property, set directly across from Jones’ Falls locks on the Rideau canal. Big rooms, comfy beds, and right on the water. Peaceful and lots of wildlife. Really good food too at the restaurant and great staff who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. We will be back.
