"Such a unique experience. Gave a weekend stay to my family of boys who love The Hobbit and anything adventure. The set up inside is so cozy and we loved having the fireplace outside. They really thought of everything to make our winter stay cozy and enjoyable. Enjoyed being close to the ski slopes as well so great location for that and some good restaurants nearby but feel somewhat secluded when you’re at the house which was nice. "

"Cain is wonderful in a great location and very spacious. Everything was as advertised everything worked. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water. The views from this property are amazing. Fires in the fireplace every night. We did not have any negative issues even though we were snowed in for 2 days we had an amazing time! Be sure to have 4/all wheel during snow season. Newland has a lot to offer as does Roan Mountain. Mikes coffee is really good just a short drive into Newland. Not gonna lie the clown picture in the upstairs bedroom is frightening, I suggest you bring him a red balloon as a peace offering."

"This was the just what we wanted. Had the opportunity to hike in the mountains and enjoy the property when we were at the house. It was very cold and it even snowed. A much different environment than Florida. Roger took great care of us and offered assistance in any way we needed. Thankfully the house and property was in tip top shape and we didn’t neeed assistance much. Thank you Roger!"
