We did not plan for Tropical depression Sara to visit us on our stay, but she did. The house is so solid and sturdy we actually sat out in the screened in porches to enjoy the wind and rain. We also got to watch the Dolphins and their feeders and also did the encounter, when the weather finally cleared. Beds comfy queens kitchen has everything you could need to cook, big gas stove, drinking water tanks, caretakers next door, locked gate with parking (probably 3 cars max). The patio furnature was comfortable, the decks solid, screened proches one with large dining table and chairs, the other more for reading. The bed rooms are vaulted beautiful wood crafted and high with an AC unit above the bed, and many ceiling fans. Walk in tile shower with plentiful hot water. The main house/LR /Kitchen have no ac, and then a stairway to the top floor with fouton , couch , chair and the big TV, netflix and a tiny balcony with hurricane shades The beach is just right there, and when you go out into the dock, its just waist level. There are boats going by occassionally, but they are slow, so swimming is not great. But the little beach is perfect and private. Across the narrow street is the community center and local houses , and just 2 blocks away from the Dolphin encounter/Anthony's key and the main highway (but you can't hear it, just the gentle lapping of the ocean) the encounter fence kept any tidal surge out, and the trees caught most of the wind. we could have stayed there "forever".
