Built in 1856 the cottage is situated up the hill on Bagot Street, behind the old Criterion Hotel.
The quaint settlers cottage has been beautifully restored and extended and is now a fabulous holiday rental accommodation.
Located in exceptional proximity to Robe's town beach, specialty shops, art galleries, restaurants, hotels and only a short stroll the golf course.

'Criterion Cottage' provides a marvellous atmosphere with the integration of the old and the new. The comfortable living room is full of character opening up onto a paved courtyard, with BBQ.
Other features include 2 bedrooms with 1 queen upstairs  and 2 single beds downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom on the ground floor and glimpses of Guichen Bay. Ideal accommodation for couples or small family.

It is the dog owners responsibility to ensure their dog is suitably restrained within the enclosed yard premises, Robe Holiday Rentals cannot guarantee fencing will be suitable match for your pet.

Little Ripper
Great location. Close to Main Street walk to everything close at hand. House is very hot could do with a couple of shade sails in little court yard which we used , or a split system. A well equipped kitchen , overall a pleasant place to stay.

Great location
Property was in a great location. Bed was comfortable. Be aware that main bedroom is up a steep stairwell (with narrow treads) and bathroom is downstairs. Property was clean but requires some extra attention to shower screen and Items in the Kitchen (we had to wash crockery before using). Unfortunately there was also a mouse problem (which they were dealing with) so we did have a smell throughout our stay. (just opened doors and windows when home)

Overall I enjoyed my stay but was slightly disappointed. The cottage was relatively clean but small things need to also be concentrated on. The BBQ had not been cleaned , therefore no BBQing for us. Oven tray, pot and pans needed a scrub before I could use them. Dusty fan in upstairs bedroom, not been cleaned for a while.

Relaxing time away in SA
Due to lockdown in Vic, we were unable to travel there as originally planned… so we have loved staying at Robe in the past and decided to spend our time there instead. The cottage was well equipped, gas heater worked a treat in the wintertime weather we had. Would stay again. Cheers

Winter Getaway
What a great little gem, in a convenient part of town! We had almost everything we could possibly need (as previously stated, more toilet paper would be great, as we ran out). We loved the ambience of the open fire & stayed warm in every room, with heaters everywhere and electric blankets to keep us toasty warm in bed. The accommodation was deceptively spacious and very inviting. During the day we loved the bright & airy dining and family room, and at night it was great to retreat to the cosy lounge room, by the fire. We would definitely recommend this to friends and would love to return!

I loved it ! Very similar plan of the stone part of the cottage to my Grandparents home (they lived out from Mannum , early to mid 1900's). One thing I did not like or think suitable, especially if you had young / teenage children is the artwork hanging on the wall where the table is. A beach theme is good but the posturing male should be painted over with a whale, dolphins anything to cover up what looks like an opening scene from "Queer as Folk". Other than that great.

Cute little house in a good location. They only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 nights and 3 people. Shower head need replacing. But they provided firewood, plenty of heating and we could bring our dog. Overall great little place

What a gem!
My husband and I stayed for 5 days and could not recommend this place highly enough. Location was ideal, walking distance to the beach, jetty, pub, restaurants and cafes. The decor was modern, well maintained, clean and immaculately presented. Everything we required was included. We loved the open fire place!! Plus there was plenty of other heating appliances to use. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely winter weekend getaway.
Stayed the weekend with my 3 children. Loved the location as we could walk to the beach and the shops easily (although it rained most of the weekend). The cottage had plenty of heating with a beautiful wood fire, good quality amenities and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Thankyou for a lovely weekend getaway!
