The room was musty smelling like it had had water damage. You could tell the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. Mold on the side of the shower. Hair in the floor. The casino was ok. Had we not stayed in the casino for a lot of the time I would have slept somewhere else.

NO BUENO!!
After reserving our room, we got there to find that they only had a handicap equipped room. The receptionists were complacent and acted as if we were a bother. There were no common extras like coffee maker, microwave or mini fridge. The bed was like sleeping on a board. The casino was dirtier than I was expecting. The pool and hot tub area reeked of chlorine so badly that it made our eyes burn just being in the room. Not a good experience. Will NOT be back.

It was a run down cheap hotel. Our bed was broken in the room, so it leaned downward. There were bugs in the corner of the room. We walked down to the Buffett and food was not appealing at all. We decided to go get our luggage and get out of there and cut our loss.

Need more handicap accessible parking. And bigger bathrooms on the casino floor for handicap scooters and wheelchairs. Very hard to naviate but possible. Other than that we had a vey pleasent stay a d will be back this winter!

The buffet is ridiculously overpriced for the items they have available. I would recommend looking around before choosing the buffet at Fitz.

Good place but unfriendly staff
The staff are the least friendly of all the places I have stayed. No greeting or even eye contact when checking in. She mumbled something at the end that I couldn't understand. There is a food court area, and again very unfriendly. No greeting or eye contact, but plenty of eye-rolling. Since it is an isolated area, there aren't other dining options nearby. Typically people working in the hospitality industry seem especially friendly and helpful, but this one was the opposite. I liked the place, but most of the staff we encountered made it an unpleasant experience.

Pros: The location is great. It is close to the city, but far enough way that it is not loud and busy. The view of the Mississippi River was amazing! You must have your room key card to access the elevators, so I liked that security feature. Cons: The rooms are not serviced during your stay, so I had to go downstairs to get towels (they would not deliver to my room). Out of the 4 towels provided, 3 had hair in them. Regarding the room: floor had a dirt feel to it. One bed was very noisy and needs to be replacement. The AC, even when off, made a loud humming noise. Had to ask for batteries on the first night for the TV remote because there were none in it. THE WORST: The staff - both in the hotel and the restaurants. The ONLY nice employees was one gentleman at Dunkin and two ladies that worked in the buffet restaurant (maybe they can teach the others on customer service). Outside of that - My Mother and I were greeted with rolled-eyes, short responses, and just a lack of manners. Overall, I would not recommend this Hotel/Casino.

Arrived at 1:00 said we couldn't check in till 3:00 unless we paid $15. early check in!?! No coffee maker because they were under Covid precautions, but pool and Buffet were open. Most employees if they wore mask it was on their chin???

Need to make sure you read the fine print.
Did not get to actually stay at the hotel my two daughters are 20 and 18, and in order to stay in the hotel all guest have to be 21. Did not know this until we traveled 11 hours from North Carolina and arrived at 3am already paid for the room and had to find another hotel room. However the Staff were AMAZING and understanding.

I was shocked with the desk employees not friendly at all I asked if the room had a refrigerator I was told you not on that side not if I would like a room with one or there no more rooms I would think it shouldn’t matter how I booked the guest should get a choice to upgrade no direction to room just wrote number and there u you go buffet close at 9 pm and few choices those ladies and casino employees helpful and nice
