I like staying here because you never have to go outside. You can take the elevator to the subway to the labs or your doctor's office. It's very convenient, especially in the winter.

Booked a queen bed and it was a smaller bed that I had to call to get proper sheets for. When I asked about the room I was told you have no queen beds only double. So that to me was false advertisement. Room was so small barely could move around bed without hitting toes or shoulder on tv. Hotel lobby is beautiful but rooms are not great. Beds are super small. Not queens more like oversized twin.

This hotel was right at the Mayo Clinic which was very convenient. The hotel still has the charm from back in the day but could use an update. Overall we have no complaints and would probably stay here again.

If you're needing to stay at Mayo, this is a great option. It's clean, updated rooms, comfy beds (lower to ground for easy transfer if in a chair), nice bathroom. What isn't great is the layout of this hotel, it's so under labeled and easy to get lost and hard to find main desk, pool, etc. parking rp isn't ideal - no one answered when we tried buzz in, so we swiped the credit card. You're also charged parking with check in so be careful. Parking ramp is small and smelly. There's a nice drop off area out front of the hotel, and they do have valet parking (for additional charge). In room coffee isn't great. Nice mini fridge go bring your own snacks, leftovers, or breakfast items. We'll stay elsewhere next time since we don't need to be close to Mayo, likely somewhere without multiple banks of elevators and with free parking.

Ac didn't work, we had to call 4times asking for extra pillows before they brought them up. The hot tub was broken, you have to pay for parking we were promised two rooms together and they weren't together at all.. it was not a good experience I've had better look at cheap little hotels I will not be coming back to the hotel, now will the 4 other people I was with

My husband and I stayed here the night before and the nights following an extensive surgery I had at Mayo. The thought of coordinating this was one of the greater stressors for me leading up to surgery but the staff was incredibly accommodating and made our stay all we needed it to be! The convenience in location can’t be beat!!

Beautiful old property. Love the parts of the hotel that kept the original Tudor style interior. Pleasant stay. Lord Essex Tavern and Grill is phenomenal and is more or less in the hotel.

It was very walkable. Lots of restaurants near by. Across the street from Mayo Clinic. The room given to us was not what we reserved. Reserved a king, told us we only paid the price of a queen on Expedia. I had to show my receipt. Facility was older.

The staff is friendly, and the building is clean. Mayo Charlton and Methodist Hospital are within walking distance. There are several restaurants and coffee-tea within a block.

It was inconvenient being in a wheelchair. I had to ask for a shower stool, but it was not very safe, it was missing a screw. It was very wobbly. The transition from the hard floor to the carpeting was difficult also. Other than that, they were very responsive with other requests. I loved that they were so close to the Mayo clinic .

Overall liked the property. Literally 10 steps away from the Mayo clinic and a 5 minute walk from the civic center which you can access by walking the street or the skyway. Was there for one night. Room was clean. However the thermostat didn't work and room was about 78 degrees. Bathroom fan didn't work, and bathroom itself was small. Walls were thin and we could hear almost everything the neighbor was doing. The room was across from the elevator and you could easily here the dinging of the elevator when it stopped on the floor. Despite the small things, the room and hotel were clean, valet staff were really friendly and helpful and with the convienence of the Mayo and the civic center being so close means I would stay at this hotel again.
