Location is ok, close to Walmart and the mall but it’s also right next to the highway and it’s really loud during the night. I thought it was neat that they had a bowl of ear plugs at the counter but now I understand why, you can hear the cars zooming by because it’s next to the highway. Room was basic and smelled like urine. There was leftover gum or spitball in our room that wasn’t cleaned which was pretty disgusting. Also at 3am, there was a domestic dispute and the walls are thin so you can hear everything going on. My kids were freaked out and wanted to leave asap.

There are no elevators. So be prepared to carry everything to the stairs if you’re not on the 1st floor. Check out is at 11am and at 11:02 they were banging on the door.

There should be a mirror in the bedroom; there was no full length mirror in Room 142. Also, the bed is very small. Hard to believe that is truly a Queen. There were no King beds available.

Pros: very clean room, well maintained indoors and grounds. Sufficient wall outlets in room. No Highway noise in this room. Nice hot and cold breakfast provided. Fresh baked cookies and lemon water in the lobby. Other than the front lobby, all exterior doors were locked and could be opened only with a hotel key card. Cons: Air conditioning was difficult to regulate adequately. The mattress was too soft. Only one tiny waste basket was provided which we had to empty every day as there was no daily maid service. Our room key cards got demagnetized 2 out of 4 days requiring an extra trip to the front desk. Note: great hotel staff, friendly and helpful, particularly Olivia in reception.

This Microtel Inn was clean and comfortable, close to the NY Thruway, and reasonably priced. Staff was helpful and check-in and check-out were quick and efficient.
