I booked 2 rooms for my daughter’s birthday. I thought it was closer to Carowinds than what it was. Check in was long! The guy checking people in was very slow and honestly not sure he knew what he was doing. Check in was about 30 minutes! The rooms appeared to be clean and smelled clean. The mattresses was stained and I did see a bug that appeared to be a roach, it ran fast! This was around midnight after Carowinds. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Absolutely horrible check in process. Myself and a few other patrons checking in had to walk back behind the desk into a back room to wake up the staff member that was supposed to be working the front desk. This was approximately 9:15pm so not terribly late. Once the staff member finally did wake up he appeared very groggy and under the influence. I would NEVER recommend this facility. I had initially considered dialing 911 as it took a very long time to arouse this staff member.

The room smelled like smoke. The shower was yucky as well. Was told ice machine in 3rd floor so went there it didn’t work nor did the one in the 2nd floor.
