Older property right on the road, so traffic noise is an issue. Gentleman at reception was friendly & welcoming. Unfortunate that although the rooms themselves are non-smoking,(ashtray in front of room full of old butts) other guests on both sides & behind sit outside chuffing away & the smoke wafts under the door & through the bathroom window making the room smell like an ashtray. Bed was comfy & shower hot water pressure good, although grout was very dirty. Blockout curtains would be a good idea. Bedside lamps had cracked bases - not a good look. Thank goodness air con was strong. For a one night stay on a long trip it was welcome stop, but in all honesty could not recommend it. Needs a vigorous clean & updating.

Although an older property this motel had everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman, our room was at the back of the property, so nice and quiet, the room was large, the bed comfortable, the shower good. Wine glasses were even provided. Excellent value for money.

VERY spacious rooms for a motel, water pressure and temperature average if you want to get really picky. Close to heart of rockhampton servo right next door with aldi across the road. Alot of things to do and see very close with convenience of uber, door dash ect of local vendors overall well priced i would gladly stay again.

The motel is old and doesn’t seem to have been renovated in a long while. On arrival, the room was not cleaned very well. A lot of dust on the bed heads. Cracked bedside lamps, with one broken light bulb. There was hair on the sink and shelf above the sink. The shower curtain had mould on it. The shower head was very old and did not disperse water evenly. The hot water took a long time to flow through. The room’s kettle was old and had scale buildup. The iron in the room was dirty and put black stains on the shirt that was ironed. The ironing board cover had stains on it. The gentleman at reception was very friendly and polite though. If the rooms were cleaned properly and updated a little, it would have been much better.

Sadly cleanliness was not a priority
At first arrival we were happy with how everything looked. We didn’t have overly high expectations for the price. Unfortunately the cleanliness let it down. We have stayed in many budget motels traveling around the country and even though they were a cheaper price they were generally pretty clean. One of the beds had obviously not been checked or changed as there was clothing tags that had been left under the sheets. The plates looked like they had been scraped off and put back without washing and one of the wash clothes had definitively been used and not changed :( Maybe we just happened to stay on a bad day? We were only there for a quick stop between long drives but sadly we will not be using this motel again. The skipped hygiene was a put off.

Quiet position. Easy check in. Bathroom was extremely clean. Lots of space, dining table and chairs. Large fridge freezer. The sofa and Chair needed upholstering. The bed and pillows were lumpy and old.
