The check in process was not the best. 2 hours before check in we were yet to receive check in instructions. Eventually we got this 15 minutes before we were meant to check in but I’m sure you can appreciate that this would be quite nerve wracking. While there is a contact number for the property we called at least 10 times and the calls went unanswered. We then contacted Expedia and were told that they were also unable to contact them using the telephone number provided. The room is quite small. There is a fridge which is also quite small as we could not even fit an average size container in there. There was no hand soap provided in the bathroom which was a bit inconvenient. I would not recommend staying in this room (room 2) with someone you aren’t completely comfortable with as there is little privacy since there are glass blocks forming the wall between the shower and bedroom. Security could be a bit better as on one night there was a group of people banging on our door and trying to open it and we could tell from their conversation that they believed it was their room. They later left the area and it appeared that they were in the wrong block of flats which we needed a key to enter.

This is not a hotel . Location was very good, easy to walk to shops and tourist points , Place was very small, no hand soap, no tissues, fridge was tiny and not very clean, bed was a sofa and mattress was not clean. Sheets were though. Not too bad if you have no expectations for hanging out in a lobby

Glamour Spanish Steps is anything but glamorous. But once you get pass the disappointment of the room (No 2), it's actually not so bad. The cons: the room is in desperate need of updating as it has a silver paint interior likened to a single male's idea of a cool bedroom in the 1980s. The bed frame has a worn out leather effect edging which adds to the size of the bed which is far too big for the size of the room, resulting in having to shimmy around the bed; there is faulty wiring to the lights; holes in the plaster to the wall and ceiling; skirting board missing; scuffed up MDF skirting board in need of replacing; the sliding frosted glass door to the ensuite doesn't entirely cover the doorway and the shower is lit by a glass block wall, so there's no privacy when using the toilet or shower; no hand wash provided. The communication before arriving was frankly disappointing because it was unfriendly and unhelpful, which caused concerned over being able to check in. The pros: the cleaner cleaned the room every day and put an entirely clean set of bedding on every day; clean towels most days; the bed was comfy; the shower was reliably hot; the decor of the ensuite was okay; it's a short walk to the Metro, bus stops, park, zoo, shops, restaurants, cafes, and the piazza. Once check in details had been received, it was straightforward to get to the room. Summary: exceptionally clean and great location, but would not stay there again.

NOT A HOTEL, NOT near Spanish Steps
Very basic, unclean, no facilities, no lobby, phone, power, wifi, toilets, not near Spanish steps, no refund for not being as described and no help from wotif. COuld not check in despite being there at 2pm as stated. Cleaning lady shooed us into street. We had to book emergency alternative accommodation, hotel won't refund us, neither will wotif. Warning - do not book - it's a scam! 1) the accommodation was not a hotel as described and not in the area described on the Wotif website 2) we paid our money to Wotif directly, therefore we seek a refund from Wotif directly 3) we tried several times to check in and we exhausted all options available to us to check in to our booked accommodation but could not 5) we spoke to a member of staff on-site who did not assist us and told us to leave the premises 6) we tried immediately to contact Wotif to advise of the situation yet the website did not allow us to do so 7) the hotel was not of a standard that we have come to expect from Wotif, and we see advertisement of a hotel on Wotif''s website as Wotif's endorsement of the quality of the hotel.

Great place to stay in Rome
The room was good, no mini bar, just a small refrigerator, which was fine with us. Close to bus, trains and trams. A few different restaurants close to the hotel.

Not a hotel but a guest room in an apartment
This is not a hotel. Rather it is someone's apartment that they split into 4, not 6, guest rooms. We never met any staff. I had to call 4 different times to be let in and just open room doors and we were told to just pick one and the code is in the room. Not very secure. There is no sign to indicate the "hotel". There is no mini bar as stated only a mini fridge. The a/c would not stay on and it was very hot. Whoever cleans turned the a/c off during the day while we were gone and opened a window when it was over 80 degrees outside with no wind. The sliding glass door into the bathroom would stick so bad you would get stuck in the bathroom. They moved all of our things around while gone and some things were almost left as we could not find them and dirty and clean clothes were placed together when previously separated. The neighborhood was filthy and we arrived after dark and thought we would be mugged. The only good this was the proximity to the Metro and the cleanliness.

Excellent location
Location was outstanding. 150' to Metro. Would stay here again just for that. We felt this could be better maintained. Faucet was literally attached to sink with silicon. There was a coffee maker on-site. No coffee, sugar or creamer. 2 coffee cups but never cleaned from previous occupants.

Rome worth repeating
I have stayed in Rome many times and now have found a place to re-book again. The location of these units is perfect to see many sights and easy to get to the subway, bus or tram. Modern furnishings with AC units that actually cool. Keyless entry for doors and room made it easy for us to arrive and meet our host the next day. The rooms are small which is typical of Rome hotels so more than 2 can be crowded. No breakfast included or parking but this was not an issue for us as there was several coffee shops across the street. Definately will book again my next trip to Rome. Note that we walked to the Spanish steps but this property is about a 15 minute walk to that sight.

Para empezar la entrada al "hotel" (era un pasillo con habitaciones) necesitabamos un codigo para entrar y no nos lo dieron hasta que llamamos a hoteles.com (por esa parte hoteles.com fue muy amable) tampoco contestaban al teléfono. La habitación era una lavanderia y el baño tenia la cisterna rota y hacia ruido, el aire acondicionado tambien estaba roto y goteaba, las toallas estaban rotas y mojadas... La luz del baño ademas costaba encenderse, habia que darle varias veces. La ubicación en cambio estaba muy bien (cerca de la plaza Popolo) En resumen: si podeis buscad un hotel mejor

Posizione ottima. La stanza era molto confortevole. Solo il bagno avrebbe bisogno di un sistema di aerazione. L’unica pecca di questo B&b è stata la comunicazione con i proprietari. Al numero non risponde nessuno ma dovrete contattare Elena ,super disponibile che vi darà tutte le informazioni. È un’ottima soluzione per visitare in pochi giorni Roma.

La ubicación estaba bien, pero el sitio como tal es una habitación muy pequeña, apenas te puedes mover por ella, es funcional, para dormir y usar el baño. Se agradecería que entrase algo de luz natural porque la ventana da a un patio interior; que hubiese una mesita de noche en cada lado de la cama, no sólo en una; que la puerta del baño no fuese corredera; que dejasen más gel y jabón de manos. La cama era cómoda y amplia y las almohadas también. Tenía una nevera, pero estaba un poco sucia por dentro. Se agradecería también tener un par de vasos para el baño.
