This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with Marriott. The attendance and service at this Marriott with non-employed with 30 people in the line to check in five people at the desk, but only one person checking someone in the other people stand around just talking. I put in for early check-in and digging into my room until 3:30 PM. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with Marriott. I hope it’s the last.

The Marriott was nicely located outside Rome city, close enough for a 20-40 drive into the city depending on where you were going. Property is clean, well maintained, safely perched on a hill. Dining area offered variety of meals and food. Staff was friendly and professional, very helpful with Rime trips, transportation, etc. They do offer a shuttle into and from Rome City Center. Dining wait staff very sweet, we felt very catered to and enjoyed our morning breakfasts with Antonio as our waiter/host. Only downfall, for some, not walkable area, but we highly recommend.

The hotel was in the middle of nowhere with no convenient transportation. In hotels.com, the hotel said it had airport transfer and it did not. I paid extra for the breakfast and 30 minutes later had food poisoning. My room was not ready so I sat on the public restroom floor and threw up, sweated profusely and had diarrhea. I told front desk and the woman didn’t even care. But she said my room was ready. It was pathetic.

We had an amazing stay at the Marriott. The center of Rome was a quick 20-30 minute taxi away. The highlight really for us was the free breakfast in the morning.
