We ( family with 11 and 13 year olds) spent a fantastic week here. Takes some effort to get to, being 24km from Roma by train, but that was part of the adventure for us. Much, cheaper than hotels in cenral Rome and at E2.10 each on the train our 4 trips into the city didn't cost anywhere near as much as the difference in price between here and city hotels. Pavona - lovely little town and by self-catering at SmartHome you can be more like a local than a tourist. Used local bakery, pasta shop and grocers, as well as the supermarkets (all within a km walk).
Remember this is an apartment, not a hotel. We had 2-ring cooker ( bit of a challenge for 2 meat eaters and two vegetarians, one of whom is gluten intolerant!), 3 saucepans and a frying pan, as well as a moka coffee pot. Fridge, but no freezer compartment. Washing up liquid and scourer supplied, but no tea towel. No dust-pan or brush for sweeping up, but we found both for less than E2 locally. Plates and cutlery for everyone, but no sharp kitchen knife (made melon cutting interesting!). So, basic but certainly manageable for a week.
We had a 'loft' apartment with kitchen and bathroom at one level, lounge and bedroom slightly lower. Most comfortable sofa-bed I've ever slept on without a doubt. Kids shared the double bed which was in a separate room with only pillars between it and the lounge. Curtains cut out most of the light though when they went to bed.
Bathroom was fantastic, including Jacuzzi bath! 3 towels each as well.
