I had a wonderful stay at The Republic Hotel in Rome! The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout my visit — it really felt like the staff take great pride in keeping everything immaculate. The team were incredibly polite and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile and happy to offer recommendations for nearby restaurants and sights. It made a big difference to the overall comfort of my stay. Breakfast was another highlight — a great selection of fresh pastries, fruit, and hot options, all nicely presented and regularly replenished. It was the perfect way to start each day before exploring the city. Overall, I’d highly recommend The Republic Hotel to anyone visiting Rome. Great location, warm service, and an excellent standard of cleanliness and comfort.

Great location with a quick walk to Termini and the Metro. Many restaurants within a short walk. Both porters were super friendly, helpful and provided a ton of information. Beds and pillows very comfortable and bathroom is high end. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, great staff, the breakfast is the best we had on our 10 day trip in Europe. Leaving was so easy as could walk to the train station in 5 minutes for the express train to the airport. There were also some great restaurants near by. We would stay again!

Big DISAPPOINTMENT.

Breakfast was great. Lot of choices. Our only complaints was the evening front desk. My family travel frequently (4-5/year) and we never experienced RACISM. During the first couple of hours in our stay, my wife and kid are coming back from dinner and my kid had an allergic reaction from nuts so they were rushing to go back to the room to get the epi pen. I dont think the front desk person understand the urgency of the situation because he was trying to block them to go to our room and was asking for their passport eventhough my wife told him that they have an emergency. He was shouting and even treatened that he will call the police. He even said "you Filipinos". Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone

The room was clean, but smaller than pictured in our booking (no seating area), breakfast was good and A/C functioned well. The man who showed us to our room was kind and informative. We were scheduled to stay twice, but ended up only staying once (at the onset of our trip), as we were warned by the U.S. Italian Embassy to stay away from the area at the end of our trip, due to a large protest/demonstration expected by the train station. The hotel would not compromise and at least partially refund our room. Usually in these types of circumstances, grace is given for reasons of safety. This was very disappointing.

We stayed at The Republic at the beginning of our trip to Italy, without incident. The accommodations were nice, but we received a smaller room than pictured when I booked. All went as planned. Our second stay was scheduled at the conclusion of our trip for one night. The U.S. Embassy issued a traveler alert to avoid that area due to a large demonstration at the public square—just steps away. Expedia intervened to try to get them to cancel our stay with a refund of some type, but they refused. We had to stay elsewhere at additional expense. Very disappointing that they would even offer a partial credit under the circumstances beyond our control. Expedia, however, did try and even gave us a partial credit toward another booking in the future.
