Although the location was convenient on the outskirts of Rotorua and the place was clean and the kitchen well supplied, it didn't meet our expectations of a typical VRBO that we have stayed at in the past. The decor was dated, the carpet was old (but very suitable for families with children), there were chips in the paint on the woodwork, the befriend were small and the bathrooms were so tiny that it was riduculous. The ensuite sink was almost impossible to use it was so small. And the mirror on the wall prevented you from accessing the back of the small sink. There is a good reason for the name Sun Trap too. Unless you have the blackout blinds pulled down, the living room becomes extremely hot in the evenings. The one ductless heat pump/air conditioner is located in the hallway outside of the bedrooms and never effectively cools the large oddly shaped living room. We, two older couples, would never stay here again. In fact, we checked out a day early.
