This was an expensively appointed hotel when built but it is starting to tire. Still lovely. But please please clean the windows, inside and out; a simple thing that will just lift the whole experience. Breakfast was excellent and evening dining is good.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The hotel is a little jaded now but you can still see its former splendour. I thought it was wonderful inspite of its tired facilities. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast is good. I would stay here again.

A good place to stay at a very reasonable price. Room was comfortable but a little dated. Screen between bathroom and bedroom was faulty and difficult to close or open. Limited menu options and food was average, but having a restaurant on site was handy as it saved a 10min drive into Rotorua

Great value for money
Great value for money, staff were friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable. Food was good. The only faults we found were the screen between the bathroom and bedroom was in poor condition and didn’t operate properly and the washing machines in the laundry hadn’t been cleaned properly.

This resort is about 15 minutes from the Rotorua town centre. The resort is dated, our room & the common areas are in need of updating. Our room was a large suite overlooking the lake. Because the weather was so wet we did not use the outside area, but it must be nice when the sun is shining. The carpet in our suite looked new, but the furnishings are old, stained & worn. We didn’t eat in the dining room, so can’t comment. There is no safe in the room, but the staff did hold our passports when we went exploring in town.Cant say enough good things about the staff. They were very warm & helpful.

Please don’t book this property! I booked this resort through Expedia with a lake view for just one night as me and my wife were doing a road trip of North island from Auckland to Wellington and had a stop over at Rotorua. I checked in a little late around 10 pm and as soon as I entered the room and tried to connect the WiFi it was not working. I complained and the staff was also not able to fix the problem. Then I used the washroom and flushed the toilet, but it didn’t stop releasing the water as the flush was too old and got stuck. Then I called the front desk again to fix it but there was no one except the night guard who was unable to help at the moment. With all this fuss I was not able to sleep until 12:30 and the problems were not fixed either. Moreover, the room condition was not good at all, there was dust all over the place on the phone, table, bathroom, soap bottles, shower door and the condition of the hotel was really horrible and nowhere near a 5 star. I am going to file a complaint with Expedia and expect atleast a half refund from the hotel if not full. I do not recommend this property to anyone unless they renovate the building. It’s better to book a motel and save your money and time. Nick.

Stayed for two nights, both nights the hot water didn’t work. Was told to wait an hr and still never worked. Food was terrible!! $30 for Buffet Breakfast, which only consisted of cheap bread, scrambled eggs and sausages. Dirty bathroom. Not. 4 star hotel

We had a wonderful stay here! Older facilities but very comfortable and cosy. Parking was a bit challenging as the car parks are quite small for all the bigger vehicles but made it work. Wonderful service! The buffet breakfast was perfect and set us up well for the day. A beautiful place to stay, it was nice to be a little bit out of the city of Rotorua.

Our original rooms were unavailable due to a water leak, however the manager went above and beyond to accommodate our group of 7 adults. All of the staff were absolutely lovely and the room was perfect. Thanks team! Would definitely stay again.
