Wonderful hideout in the woods!
The place was fabulous, and I loved the location. My only negative comments would be 1) that the laundry facilities are in a basement only accessible from outside, so I didn't do any laundry since it was raining; and 2) most of the beds are up rather steep stairs, but probably not a problem for folks younger than our old knees. We just used the one downstairs bedroom. Otherwise, the place was well-furnished, comfortable, secluded and quiet. I'd definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Retreat
We enjoyed our stay at the Hound’s Nest. The cottage was well-appointed for our visit, providing everything we could need. The Lake Stinson/Rumney area is beautiful and the weather was perfect for walking, fishing, swimming and hiking, as well as evening campfires. We deducted some stars because the cleaning company failed to remove the trash and recycling of the previous guests. It took several days and several texts to the management service to have it removed. But other than that, it was a perfect stay and wonderful getaway for our family over the extended holiday.

Great Little Holiday Destination
Home is well maintained and quirky. Only complaint and it's super minor was the lack of snow removal. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday weekend and would love to come back during the summer.

Great Location
The home was clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. Questions to the manager were promptly answered. We found the location to work out very well, as there were plenty of hiking trails within 30 minutes and a couple of small towns nearby to visit as well.

Great Time!
Perfect spot for the family to hang. Had terrible weather so spent a good portion just hanging out inside playing games with the kids and made most of our meals at the house. Everyone had a great time and the house was clean and comfortable!

Lovely stay close to White Mountain National Forest
We had a great stay at this well maintained, spacious cabin in the woods. Everything was as advertised and both checkin and checkout were easy. 2 notes of advice: It is several miles off the beaten path -- get groceries before you make your way from Rt. 3 or Rt. 93. Also it is a solid 45 min from Franconia Notch State Parks -- if that is part of your day, budget that time into your travel. All in all, totally positive and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Hounds Nest is wonderful
We stayed the week up at Lake Stinson and it was fantastic. Hounds Nest is a beautiful home and it is well equipped with everything you may need. House was comfortable and very clean. Easy enough to walk to the lake to swim and fish. Nice little welcome package of water and wine was a very nice touch! We have friends that own a home just down the street so it was a perfect location for us to be close to them as well. I highly recommend this place. Everything about it was super easy. We will be back next summer for sure!

Cozy wooden house
The house is simply adorable. We are impressed about the wood joinery and construction of this house. We spent most of the day rock climbing in Rumney. It was nice to come home to this cozy house at the end of day. The host left bottle waters, a bottle of wine and coffee. That is a classy and considerate touch. Everything we need was in the house.

Great place with lake short walk away!
We enjoyed our stay at this well built house. Kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable. Only criticism is lighting was very dim. We were in town for a wedding. Loved to come back to this house. Very quiet and relaxing. The swimming was wonderful in stinson lake. It's about 5 minute walk, a quarter mile, to the dock on the other side of the road.

Although the house was great and we really enjoyed our stay the description of the dock area was weak it was actually right off a busy street which made having lunch at the table impossible.

Peaceful and Cozy Vacation Spot
Very clean, cozy, quiet rental in a serene woodsy location. My family had been in quarantine for over a year and a half and we wanted a nice spot to rest and relax together. The location was perfect. The rental had all of the things we needed to unplug and have fun together. There were board games and cards available for use as well as a fire pit. We brought folding chairs to use near the fire pit...there is no seating provided by the fire pit so just bring a couple soccer mom chairs and all is well. It was a really nice place to connect with family and recharge. I'm sure we will visit again. This was a perfect home away from home. The Polar Caves are close and the General Store in Rumney had eggs, milk, craft beer and all of the things you may need to avoid a big trip to the grocery store. I almost don't want to tell you how great this property is for fear it won't be available to rent again when we want to come back..
