Renovated historic Craftsman bungalow near Winston Salem and mountain activities

No competing with other guests for space to spread out or putting up with noisy hotels. Enjoy a unique experience, having the whole house and yard to yourself in our newly renovated and fully updated historic Craftsman style bungalow located in a quaint neighborhood. 10 mins to Wake Forest University, 15 mins to downtown Winston Salem, Old Salem and School of the Arts. Convenient to Greensboro, close to vineyards, Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks with access to hiking, biking, tubing, zip lining and other outdoor activities. We have recently added an EV Charger for our guests with electric vehicles.

The house has a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, plus one and a half bathrooms. Two bedrooms with queen size beds in each and a roll away provide ample sleeping area. There is a deck and large front porch as well as a fire pit in the back yard for enjoying the outdoors. The sunroom at the back of the house is great for morning coffee or evening relaxing.

In town for a wedding
The bungalow was absolutely perfect for my elderly parents. They needed a comfortable setting for their stay here in NC that was close to the wedding venue in Walnut Cove. The hosts provided every need possible to accommodate them. This bungalow truly felt like home and was clean, spacious and very relaxing. Even the roll away bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you for the hospitality and we highly recommend this gorgeous bungalow on Broad.

Better than I expected!
This lovely home was so much more than I expected and better than the description and pictures. First of all, it is clean and well maintained, which is the most important feature of any VRBO. Beyond that, this home has charm inside and out. We loved the modern updates to the shower and all of the "little things" the hosts Mark and his wife thought of to give the comforts of home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The sunroom was a nice addition as well as the separate gym/lounge area. The outdoor space had a lot to offer for comfortable seating on the wrap around deck and front porch. The yard was well manicured and full of beautiful flowers and a fish pond. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy it all! If you need a place to stay in the Winston-Salem area, this is the one to choose. We'd definitely love to come back someday.

A 5-star rating is way too low for the Bungalow on Broad. When you enter the house, you feel like you'reentering a dear friend's lovingly restored dream home. So charming. So warm. So clean. Top-notch appliances. Perfectly and thoughtfully appointed with items and touches you don't even find at 5-star hotels. Mark was quick to answer my questions. I'm just sorry I didn't get to meet him and his wife. Next time because there will be a next tome.

Another Magical Stay

Lovely cottage
We absolutely loved our stay. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The cottage is beautiful with ample space and everything you could need. Do not hesitate at all to book your stay here. This lovely bungalow is the perfect place. The house is beautifully decorated and you feel right at home when you enter through the door. Lovely property
This house exceeded our expectations on every level. It was immaculately clean, SO charming, and really comfortable. Mark and Lisa are wonderful hosts, quick to respond and anxious to make sure their guests feel welcome. We both had to remote work while we were there and the wifi was excellent. It was so nice being able to enjoy the sun porch and many lovely outdoor spaces. Many thanks to our hosts for providing this wonderful property!

Absolutely loved this place. Wife and I were in town for Wake Forest Homecoming weekend. Straight shot into campus (15 min) and a Biscuitville 5 min away (IYKYK). Place was immaculate, cute, had everything you need. Mark was beyond nice and welcoming. He even invited us to his Oktoberfest celebration, which we unfortunately were too busy to attend. We will 100% stay here again if the opportunity arises!!!

Hiked Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain from this very comfortable, well appointed restored Craftsman. Owners even provided treats/toys for my friend’s dog. Workout room in separate building on property and lovely garden, fire pit out back. Owners were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Nicest VRBO I’ve ever been in.

A Hidden Gem

We stayed for two nights with my husband and daughter. Can't say enough good things about this place. It is extremely clean and very well-kept. You will find there all the things you may need and beyond. If you ever forget to pack something it will be there. Owners live next door and they are very friendly and happy to assist with anything. Having a game/fitness room is a huge plus, we really enjoyed it. An outdoor fireplace is gorgeous and wood is provided which was a big hit for us, we spent there every evening. The location of the property is great, you are close to everything - the gas station is 1 min away, Winston-Salem 15 min, Hanging Rock Park 20 min. Highly recommend this place and definitely will comeback next time!
