"Wonderful traditional old hotel with very helpful staff"

"We were warmly welcomed in the evening the gentleman on reception recommended a local French restaurant which served traditional food. He booked a table on our behalf. Throughout our staff were helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect for exploring Bayeux. All shops and restaurants in walking distance. A beautiful cathedral that reflected the advent season with it arrangement of purple lights on the walls and a nativity scene pointing the way to birth of Jesus. A lovely town to visit particularly at the pre Christmas time. All shops beautifully decorated in true traditional French style"

"This is a really nice chateau. The road leading up to the parking is a bit bumpy, but manageable. The hotel is really clean and beautiful. The staff were very nice as well. We enjoyed our room. It was spacious and comfortable. We loved there was a fan in our room and the soaker tub was really nice. We stayed two nights and we thought it was a really great place to stay. It was in a quiet area which we very much appreciated. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night. We both ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes. The food was good, but it wasn’t memorable. The escargot was very good though, we enjoyed that the most. Overall we highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location to explore the area. "

"We had booked at hotel la Bayeux but when we arrived we were directed to hotel Normandy. It was a little confusing but we called the number and had no problems. The girl who checked us in was super kind. Our room was perfect for our family of 5. We had Breakfast there and it was nice to sit and relax for Breakfast. We wish we had planned more time here. It is a lovely town. "
