Basic but OK
This is a cheap place. It is clean. The staff all seemed to be part of the same family, and were very friendly and helpful. They didn't speak English well (and I think anyone who expects perfect English should probably book somewhere a lot more expensive!), but we were able to communicate well enough. We got very helpful suggestions on what garage to use when we needed repairs for our car. We stayed 3 nights in a room with a double bed on the ground floor, with a loft area with three more beds. The biggest downside was that the wifi basically didn't reach the room, so we needed to go to the restaurant area to use it. There seem to be a number of people living there long term. It wasn't sophisticated, and felt a bit tired. But it was friendly, and we felt we could relax. We didn't eat breakfast, but we did have dinner in the restaurant: it was basic and nice. We got a real sense from the staff that they were happy to have us there, and that makes a big difference to the overall feeling of the place. On location, we booked it as a place to stay as a base for Lyon. It's probably a bit too far for that - the train only goes once per hour and the last train back from Lyon leaves at around 9pm. It's no palace, but we left smiling.

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel car vu il est prêt de l’aéroport et pas cher, voilà , donc c’est correct mais il ne faut pas en demander trop, assez bruyant et la literie n’est vraiment pas terrible, c’était un clic clac et on s’est réveillé avec un bon mal de dos. Mais c’est pas cher ….

Rustique !
Hôtel très simpliste du point de vue du confort : le vieux lit, un frigo et une table occupaient tout l'espace, donc aucune vie possible dans la chambre si ce n'est être allongé sur le lit à regarder la tv (qui fonctionnait correctement) ou à essayer de dormir. Pas de place pour les bagages, pas d'armoire ou de penderie. Les murs (peints façon années 80) sont en papier, on entend toutes les conversations aux alentours, sympa surtout à 5 ou 6 heures du matin... Enfin, ce qui m'a quelque peu inquiété, c'est l'état douteux de la housse de couette... J'évitais son contact direct grace au drap blanc qui, lui, avait l'air propre. Oreillers très médiocres, heureusement j'avais apporté mon nouvel oreiller de voyage. J'ai quand même pu obtenir un sèche-cheveux. Salle-de-bain avec douche et wc, correct vu le standing. Parking dans une cour derrière l'hôtel. Personnel tout à fait cordial pour le peu que j'ai vu. Bref "routier" à conseiller pour des voyageurs dormant juste une nuit, acceptant la grande rusticité des lieux et souhaitant minimiser au maximum leurs frais d'hébergement. Pour les autres, ne prenez pas de risque... Mais bon, c’est juste mon avis.

Convivial et un rapport qualité/prix excellent
Etablissement très familiale et conviviable qui fait en sorte qu'on s'y sente comme à la maison. On y trouve un rapport humain qui change des grands noms de l'hôtellerie. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et comme à la maison. J'ai pas pris le repas le soir, mais je regrette de ne pas avoir essayé. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésiter pour ceux qui sont de passage à l'Eurexpo. Vous ne serez pas déçu du rapport qualité/prix à l'Auberge de l'Europe
