Les Tilleuls is a traditional, stone-built, Charentaise cottage idyllically and rurally situated half way between the busy market town of Chalais and the beautiful village of Aubeterre. Set in 1.5 acres of gently sloping, grassed meadow, with fruit, nut and lime trees for shade, the house faces east across the grounds towards the lime trees and the distant hills. Les Tilleuls is self-contained, with one large double bedroom and its own private terrace, and is ideal for couples, but able to sleep 4.
LES TILLEULS is our largest, traditional stone-built Charentaise cottage. It consists of two floors with a king-size bedroom, shower room, separate toilet upstairs and living/dining space downstairs. It has fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven, full size gas hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, iron etc. There is a TV and fibre Internet connection. It would be comfortable for 2, but can sleep up to 4 (we can provide a single or sofa bed downstairs).
The cottage has it’s own driveway, although there are parking spaces in the barn. You will have your own beautifully landscaped terrace for alfresco dining. There is also an attached private garden with a lounge set and 4 seater swing under the walnut tree to enjoy the sunsets and stunning views over the sunflower fields. Les Tilleuls cottage has had the most returns so far with some of the guests returning 3 times in the same season.
