My only reason for the four rather than five star review is when we checked in we specifically requested a quiet room. One would think if you had a room available on the top floor that would be the obvious choice, no? We get to our 4th floor room and apparently elephants were staying above us rehearsing their circus routine late into the evening. Very thin ceilings? Is that a thing?

I was offered a free upgrade in my room. 1 week later I learned it was not free, they charged an etra upgrade fee of $100 . I called and tried to resolve this, management never called back.

Noisy and No Parking
Hotel was OK. If you want to sleep at night don’t stay here. The traffic noise is extremely loud and does not stop. We were at a college visit and several others were complaining the abut the issue the next day. It is so bad the rooms come with ear plugs. The worst part is we came in about 10 pm. They only have valet parking which was apparently full. The solution. Good luck hope you find a spot somewhere. The hotel staff was fine but there are way better options.

Nice Hotel in a Great Location
Great new hotel in downtown Salem. Good restaurant/bar, spacious lobby, grab-and-go snacks, nice decor. The staff was terrific, and our room was spacious with big windows and a great bathroom set up. (We stayed in a Deluxe King w/Sitting Area that looked over the garden.) The hotel parking lot was full when we checked-in (on a Saturday), but by the time we drove back from an event, there was one spot left. This is the place to stay in Salem!

It was very nice. The staff is friendly restaurant has good food but. They don't always have on site parking and I didn't like having to park in a parking garage a block away.

We loved being close to the Riverfront Park and being able to bring our dog. The hotel is very new and fresh. The restaurant downstairs had good food. Giving it 4 stars because there were some things that didn't work and just some odd choices in the room. Also, be aware - there's no off-street parking unless you pay for valet parking.

Rooms are clean and modern. Lobby is attractive and staff are friendly. The heat/AC in the room was odd though. It was either too hot or freezing. Parking is not free. Either $23 for the hotel lot, which is valet or a public lot 1/2 block away for $5.
