I liked the remodel of my room. Chair height toilet and comfortable bed. Jay (an owner) addressed our every need. He was personable, helpful and available. I will be staying there next time through Salida.

Absolutely charming family-run motel. The front desk staff were so helpful and welcoming. The staff at breakfast kept the food fresh and hot and tables clean. (One morning the ladies gave a sweet Mongolian dance in traditional dress. Everyone loved it!) My clumsy self tripped over a wooden trunk in our room and broke the lid . When I sheepishly informed the front desk, they were so kind; more worried about my condition than the broken piece of furniture. . . . The beds were comfy, the shower water pressure was nice and forceful. We are definitely coming back with friends. The prices were fair and the accommodations were so clean. (Added bonus: They appreciate meeting the furry travelers too!)

Fly fishing trip
We were in town for a fly fishing trip and chose to stay at our favorite motel. SRL is always clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff are awesome and helpful. We will choose SRL again as our go to lodging for ski season.

The king room was right on the busy road, so was very noisy. The shads had to be kept down for privacy. The room has no space to put things. All of one wall was windows. If this room has been at the back of the property it would have been better.

My Wife and I were impressed by the level of comfort and wonderful decor. We had a king bed and it slept very well. the water for the shower was hot and overall this was the best place we stayed all week. It was the last leg of our trip so we got on the road real early, so unfortunately I did not get breakfast. So I can't comment on that.

Very well cared for and updated nicely. Parking can be tight, due to limited space and the number of larger SUVs and Pickup trucks that visitors use.
