Would return again!!
We were very impressed withe staff, so helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. Simple, but nice to grab hot food before going out.

Dog hotel.
Dated hotel, looks very 80s. We got a free suite upgrade. The hotel accepts dogs - up to three per room. Because it’s carpeted (very old), it didn’t feel hygienic. Breakfast (free) was absolutely awful. Wifi didn’t work in the morning. Coffee machine in room. Free on-site parking.

We had car trouble and the staff at the Baymont, Kimberlee and Mary helped us by providing jumper cables and then Kimberlee driving her personal car to help me jump our stalled vehicle. They were lifesavers! Thank you!

The room smelled very bad of cleaner trying to possible cover up urine/pee. There were knats flying around the microwave and refrigerator were dirty. I text a response An hour after we checked in and never heard from anyone to change rooms or go be a discount or anything. Do not stay there. Priced way high for the quality and experience.

I checked in and used the stairs to go to the second floor room. The carpet was badly in need of vacuuming and the time of day was late afternoon, when housekeeping should have done that. When I got to the room and opened the door, the room smelled horrible. I shut the door, went to the front desk and said we would not be staying.

Non-pet friendly, rude!
Front desk required a $200 deposit which they made us pay in cash..? Everywhere else will take a card. Advertised pet friendly, had to pay a $30 non refundable pet fee after paying $160 for 1 room. Then was told very rudely if any hair was found in the room they would be keeping $50 of the deposit. The elevator is in bad shape had to use stairs…3 floors with a disabled elderly woman on oxygen. Plan an extra 30 minutes for checkout as they literally go up and check the room before you leave. They threatened to keep our $200 deposit for a “stained” towel. It had a lil dirt from my 9 year old washing her feet off after walking around their dirty carpet. WASH THE TOWEL! It’s just some dirt! A $200 towel!!! For real!!! Terrible service, rude, breakfast was lacking from other hotels priced this high! And advertising pet friendly but are not friendly about pets… other hotels give dog treats and really treat our dog like a guest too. We will not ever stay here again! We will be posting on social media as well as telling all of our event holders to book at a different property! BIG mistake to treat us this way as we do run a lot of events in Salina as we have a DJ service here in town. Most people want referrals and you will be getting NONE from us! Hampton In , Holiday inn, Hilton all WAY better service and facilities!!!

Questionable ethics - don't pay before you see it!
I booked this room last minute due to widespread power outages after a storm. This was the only affordable, safe looking place available near my home. I wanted to be close so I could check on my pets. We were going on 24 hours without power & had no ETA on repairs. I provided my credit card information when I booked the room on Hotels.com and again when I "checked in" via the link I received. I also uploaded a picture of my driver's license. It indicated that I would be able to simply pick up my key at the front desk. I admit, I didn't catch the part about a cash deposit when I checked in online. I didn't see the sign up front either. I saw that a deposit was required, as expected, and I didn't have an issue with it being $200 for a one night stay. What I didn't expect was to be turned away because I wouldn't hand them $200 cash for that deposit. I realize now that it's not uncommon for a small motel to ask for cash from local guests. I get it. Scammers are everywhere and, under normal circumstances, I would agree you need to cover yourself. That clearly wasn't the situation here. The GM saw an opportunity to get a bunch of untraceable cash from desperate people & tried to take advantage. He could have just charged our cards for the deposit like he did the out of state guests before me. I've lived in Salina, I have found most business owners to be kind and helpful. I hope that anyone staying here won't judge the whole town based on the GM and front desk clerk at this motel.

Was easy to find and has restaurants within walking distance. The room was nice with a good bed. They were working on updating the hallways. Has a pool and hot tub. The overall property does need updating but hopefully that’s what they are doing.

Very Pleased With Our Whole Experience
Our room was very clean, spacious and nice! I loved the walk in shower and the large pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and body lotion! Never seen that done before! I also loved how the mirror lite up in the bathroom! It made it so much easier to put on makeup! The continental breakfast was really good even though you were out of a lot of things when we got down there at 8:00. We would definitely stay there again!
