No one at the office after hours, left stranded
We booked in the evening on our drive through Kansas and showed up after office hours closed. We called the number displayed and rang the doorbell multiple times but no one ever came. The phone number actually was completely disconnected. So we were left stranded without another hotel for miles in the middle of the night. We tried getting refunded but they said they couldn’t help us because we showed up after midnight. Shouldn’t a hotel have someone available at any time of night? Especially in the middle of nowhere. Very disappointed and a waste of time and money.

Basic older motel. Okay for a night on the road. Wifi was weak and the furnishings were worn but comfortable. One sealed window with no way to get fresh air other than leaving the door open with no screen. Ancient wall mounted AC was noisy but it cooled enough to turn off at night.

Our room was clean. The staff was friendly and personable. We appreciated having a small fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. It wasn't fancy but it was well-kept and affordable. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again!

Kansas Stop
Traveling through Kansas after a long drive. We wanted somewhere that was clean, quiet, and efficient. That is what we found at the Viking Hotel. The price was just what we wanted to pay for an overnight accommodation. The breakfast was adequate before we resumed our journey.

Great location Walkable to downtown Fair price Breakfast is a loosely used term. Not a good selection. We grabbed 3 clementines; the only fruit available. I will still stay here. Comfortable, quiet, fair price, walkable. Breakfast isn't the deciding factor for me.

I booked the reservation on 3/22/24 for one room on 5/3/24. Upon arrival, I was told they did not receive the reservation and all the rooms were booked. We called hotels.com support to complain. They, in turn, called the motel. The same man that told me they had no vacancies told the hotels.com rep that they had an open room but not a dog friendly room (I explicitly booked the room to include our dog ahead of time). After finally finding another available hotel 30 min away, we were told small hotels/motels don’t have to honor reservations from 3rd party companies without notice. Warning for all!

Pleasant Place
Nice place. May be showing its age a little bit, but it was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Lindsborg is a nice little town, known for its Swedish heritage. Entire town seemed to be very friendly.

They were very accommodating for our one night stay. Brought a dog I hadn’t reserved for but they provided a room next to the other. When my 94 year old mother fell in the parking lot, they hurried right there to help her up. When we left, owner was there to say goodbye!

I would stay in this sweet motor lodge in a heartbeat. The rooms are good sized, the bed is very comfortable, and the proprietors are very nice. I'll be trying their coffee and complimentary breakfast in a moment!
