First, the good. The guy at the front desk was so polite and kind, made good conversation and drove to the front as soon as we called to check in. The wall unit had also been updated so you control it from a thermostat on the wall instead of on the unit itself like you used to. There is also a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast is what you would expect: cereal, fruit, waffles, toast, and coffee. It's a single level hotel so you park right in front of your door (though you don't have a window to see your car).
The bad: the hotel is older so there are definitely some things they could work on. There was obvious water damage on the baseboard all the way around the room. The sink was cracked and the shower had so much buildup on the walls that I had to wash my hands after touching it. I didn't shower because the shower head and fixtures in the shower were rusted, I didn't trust that the water touching me would be clean. The mirror had not been cleaned recently. The hair dryer was just barely attached to the wall. I picked up the mini shampoo and there was someone else's hair under it. There were popcorn kernels on the pull-out couch. There were at least 20 dead bumblebees between the two panes of glass looking outside and an active bald-faced hornets nest right outside our door, though they left us alone. The pool was closed and drained. The tv, though it was a big screen, had a blurry picture and the TV channel guide did not match the actual channels.
