The staff doesn’t tell you that they create a new reservation and charge you twice which is what happened to us and now the hotel is arguing with the bank on the credit even though when we checked in no one mentioned we had a previous reservation. So they are going down hill on service and moral and ethics I guess they are hurting for money rather than having loyal customers returning. I will never stay here again!

The hotel was great, great location. The staff that takes your luggage to and from the room was excellent, his name was Carlos I think. But the receptionist was very rude, we talked to her supervisor already.

Delightful stay
Lovely location on the river walk. Property is beautiful. Spacious comfortable suite over looking the river walk. Small areas were showing challenges of big older property. Restaurant was excellent. They were smoking meat on the patio several evenings. Hotel Contessa made a work week enjoyable

The fridge didn't work and took them over 24 hours to get it right. The sink and toilet leaked. The carpet was gross, had many stained spots. The ice maker did not work. When needing a luggage cart, they said it'd be over 30 min to get one, so I just took my own stuff, and then had to load in my car by myself. For being newly renovated, you'd think things would work. The regular street noise was so bad, without my fan, I'd not been able to sleep. The food was just average.

Parking price too high. Besides, my car was valet parked at another location. Had to drag my stuff and walk back to the hotel when needed something from my car, which was not parked at the 7th floor as I was told at the check in.

Its very nice clean and well situatied hotel in San Antonio Downtown. Everything from here is on walking distance. Rooms are very spacious and clean. I was there for 4 nights and got really good quiet sleep every night. Staff was very attentive too. 5 out of 5

it was nice and on riverwalk, had live music. the room was nice and big but the bathroom wasnt too clean and had moldy spots in shower and toilet didnt look so clean. also there was a gatorade bottle left under the couch with some liquid that looked like urine , not sure what it was but was gross! i would think that for the price they would clean the rooms better. besides that it was a nice spot to stay at.
