We’ve stayed in this line of hotels all over the world, but this location was a huge disappointment. From the start, we were switched between three rooms: the first had no working outlets, the second had an unbearable odor, and the third developed a leaking toilet. We eventually gave up on informing management, as no issues were being resolved.
The entire facility was poorly maintained. The carpets throughout the hotel smelled awful, though thankfully a carpet cleaner arrived to address the hallway. The hotel was visibly neglected, with spider webs and dirt around every corner—definitely not up to the standards we’ve come to expect from this chain.
We also encountered issues with our room keys, which inexplicably reset every day, forcing us to get new ones constantly. The laundry room was in desperate need of cleaning; my mom and I ended up using our own towel and detergent to scrub down the washers and dryers ourselves, and it was shocking how much dirt we found. After we finished, it was obvious that we had done a far better job than the staff.
It’s clear that the employees here only put in half the effort, showing little care for the property. They could all learn a thing or two from the excellent service and upkeep at the Staybridge in Chihuahua, which puts this location to shame. Sadly, this experience has left us questioning whether this hotel chain can be trusted for consistent quality.
