We checked in at 1:30 A.M. No real problem there because we called ahead at 6:00 PM and let them know we would be late. When we arrived, the clerk told us that they had (previously) reserved a room on the 4rth floor for us, but their elevator was out of service, so the check-in clerk was quick on his feet. He saw that I walk with a cane, and offered us a handicap room on the first floor. all good so far, but 3 issues.
1. There were dead crickets on the floor under the chair, located next to the bed.
2. The bed was extremely low, like maybe 18" above the floor. Very hard to get out of, especially if you are handicapped. I think the box spring was missing.
3. On check out day, Sunday morning, at around 8:45 a.m., a hotel employee, we assume a member of the cleaning crew, used their master key and barged into the room, not knowing that it was occupied. Luckily me wife was dressed and in the bathroom doing her make-up in the bathroom, so they didn't get very far into the room and see that I was still asleep. No real harm, other than it surprised my wife, and was very awkward, to say the least.
As a final note, I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker service in the room. We got coffee from the lobby, but I prefer my coffee before I get dressed and showered.
